“Exactly,” Logan growled, refusing to let Xavier see just how much that bothered him. “That’s why the kid’s dangerous.”
“That’s why he needs help,” Xavier pressed gently, as if he was chiding Logan for his hostility. “And that is why you are the best equipped to help him.”

In which Logan accidentally volunteers to help babysit the latest addition to the Xavier Institute, a strange new student that was quite literally left on their doorstep. However, this student isn't quite a "student" at all; it is a weapon left without a handler. Unfortunately, the new mutant now thinks Logan is his handler. Even more unfortunately, Logan knows more about this situation than he would like to.AKA an AU that embellishes on the fact that Kurt was being used as a weapon by Stryker at the beginning of X2, turning the situation into a recovery scenario that ends up helping both Kurt and Logan overcome their Weapon X conditioning.

This may be slow burn and a long story, but if there's something I really pay attention to it's keeping Corvo and Garrett (and all of the others too) in character.
This is a mix between the old thief games and the reboot, but you don't have to know the old games to understand what's going on. :)

Summary

It's speculated that someone within their ranks killed the three, but the case for who runs cold. In Copenhagen, Denmark, a day at the amusement park becomes catastrophic as the company CEO, the park manager, and a foreign tourist turn up dead. The truth behind the park unearths in the aftermath, and several conspiracy theories form around the deaths; but nothing is concrete.
Agent 47 takes on a multitude of contracts that will solidify his status as an urban legend. From a coal mine in China to the hunting grounds of a red room livestream; from the top 1% to human sex traffickers, each chapter focuses on a singular contract and different targets. At the same time, a global conspiracy grows larger and larger.
Not every chapter will feature the warning content. Ones that do will have the appropriate warnings in the top notes.

A voice rang out from the circle and excitedly said for everyone still in the classroom that hadn’t gone home yet to hear, “Secrets of Muto Yugi’s undefeated wins revealed. Hot scoop!”
“I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about. The news can make up anything if they want to-”
Yugi was going to say something, but was cut off by another excited squeal.
“There’s a video clip!”
Oh boy. They aren’t going to put that up on the new classroom TV, are they? Yugi placed his hands against his face in embarrassment.

Summary
The City has calmed down after the Hag's brief but terrible attack, and Garrett is back to his usual work, now without a Keeper Order trying to control him. But while the organization has disbanded after losing so many to the Hag, a few remain. One appears at Garrett's home to ask for help solving a murder. His investigation leads to a relative of Viktoria who agrees to help, but with one condition.
I plan on continuing to work on this piece, but we'll see how it goes!
