Summary
Closing the trashy harem novel he just read, his eyes drift to the alarm signaling the end of his work day. After a particularly late night at the office, an exhausted Kim Rok Soo shoves his unfinished paperwork into his briefcase and walks back from work. At least he tries to before three gangsters mistake him and his previously useful (now cause of death) briefcase for their courier and he ends up bleeding out in an empty alleyway. With his last breath, Kim Rok Soo laments and curses his overworked life and settles into the cold pavement. Closing his eyes, he briefly wonders what awaits him in the after life.
He certainty had not expected all those isekai stories to have it right. He also had not expected to have become Cale Henituse, the cannon fodder villain that dies to his own alcoholism in the novel.
