Summary
as the shadow of the Bat fell , he swore to see Orange in fright.
never believed , never understood. for he saw it at night.
as the shadow of the bat fell , he saw nothing but Red.
in nothing but seas of blue , rose that treacherous color.
as he came with things he never could understand.
as he lay his soul beneath the moon where he stand.
as the shadow of the Bat fell , there stood a child.
once happy and delight. he never knew what would happen that night.
now buried within the sand , once a bird that soared in the night.
now a weapon that lost its purpose in its fight.
bleeding in ways no one could see.
he took that fact with a sort of glee.
as the night grew colder and colder,
the child's existence was dimmer and dimmer.
as he now wore what was once cursed,
as he fell farther and farther without a word.
he made it back up in black and blue and red and bold,
to reap what 'he' had sown in his hold.
