“Upstairs?” Nancy had asked, and Robin nodded with confused eyes, following behind the other woman. They walked up the stairs and Robin genuinely started to feel the weight of her clothes. She unzipped her jacket, hanging it behind the bedroom door.
“...What’s up, Nance?” She coughed when she realized her voice was raspier than usual.
Nancy searched the room thoroughly, then finally found what she was looking for- a towel. “I want to get cleaned up.”
One of Robin’s eyebrows raised.
“...but I don’t want to be alone."

Robin hates that quote about "no matter where you go, there you are." She knows she's not supposed to think this way. That you're supposed to love yourself and rah-rah-rah, and she does. So much of her life is beautiful, she knows that. But Hawkins, for all its eldritch horrors, has a way of making her feel likes she’s the one they think a monster. And if she's honest… something feels like it's about to break.

Summary
Robin’s stiff neck is the price of being kissed by Nancy Wheeler, who’s too short to reach her without grabbing her by the nape like she’s claiming territory. In the Squawk’s basement, the “solution” becomes Nancy sitting astride Robin’s lap so she can take control of the kisses without hurting her neck, turning a simple fix into something dangerously intimate. But the heat brings the truth up with it: Robin finally asks if Nancy feels guilty about cheating on Jonathan, especially with Joyce right there. Joyce doesn’t judge, admits she’s quietly happy for them, and tells Nancy she can’t stay in limbo forever.
