He pulled away from Owen, turning unerringly to look at where he heard the sounds. Too many for deer, and too clumsy. Humans— no vampire would be heard walking through the forest.
Owen heard it at the same moment Louis did, a growl pouring from him that was so cold and furious that it sent a shiver down Louis' spine, his body becoming tense as a cat about to leap.
"Transform," Louis commanded, and Owen turned his eyes from the treeline to him, looking shocked. His mouth was still pulled into a snarl, brows drawn together indignantly.
"What? No—"
Louis tightened his grip on Owen's hair, and put a thrum in his voice that he did not want to use. "Transform, now."

Summary
It was easy to mistake Skizz for the idiot who the smart guys kept around for a laugh. Being surrounded by a scientist, a game builder, and a mechanical engineer certainly helped round out that idea. If you asked Skizz, he’d even back up the idea, praising his friends and their accomplishments.
But if you asked any of the other members of team ZITS, they’d have a different answer.

They ran. Phantom pains shot through her ankle when she prepa- no, not phantom. The wolf shrunk its teeth deeper and Cleo just, just, managed not to fall. She half turned around for a desperate swing with her sword at the beast, when it released her.
Cleo wasn’t left wondering why; They had no time to register their red-hooded assailant before the axe head buried in their shoulder and Cleo fell.
Even stilled, her killer looked manic against the sky. Surrounded by wolves, her billowing scarlet cloak, the diamond axe now tainted with their black blood and, most terrifying, the wide teeth-filled grin and her red-crazed eyes. (Was that a flash of purple?)
Cleo’s last thought before she hit the ground with a loud crack was that she didn’t recognise the woman at all.

Double Life ends and everyone remembers. They might've enjoyed that if Pearl wasn't yet to come back.
Then, a week later, she does. Her lifeless body, at least.
Scott blames himself, Grian is angry, Gem wishes she could solve all of her problems with her sword and Pearl? Pearl is dead. What do you want from her?

Summary
Becoming an alien would have been confusing enough by itself. Once you include the accidental murder of one of his friends, the hell dimension he's somehow found himself thrust into, his new allies and their uncanny ability to just accept the mixed-up version of reality they live in, and the former friend trying to kill him at every turn? Yeah, Ren's way past the point of confusion. He needs answers, but his search for them only brings him more questions and darker conclusions, and at the end of it he's left to wonder: what is the point of all this?
And is there any way to stop it?
