Summary
If he were honest with himself, Solomon knew he had well and truly fallen head over heels in love with MC. And, by some miracle, his feelings seemed to be returned by the object of his affection. So why were they now in so much pain? Why was this hard?
Satan. Satan was why, though, the sorcerer could hardly begrudge the demon for his feelings for Mc, nor would he hold Mc's feelings for Satan against them. Love was a beautiful thing. So why not celebrate and rejoice its every occurrence? Solomon, for all his pursuit of things he desired, was not a greedy or selfish man. He could never require the object of his affections to only pursue him, if their heart desired more.

Summary
Olivine, running low on funding and low on hope, answers a classified ad from an alpha/alpha couple looking for a surrogate. Halsin swallows, rewords his question. “How old were you when you were turned?”
Astarion goes quiet. Extremely, cacophonously quiet.
“Thirty-nine,” he finally says, a bolt straight into Halsin’s heart.

The question startled Gale, who looked up from where he sat cross-legged in front of his tent, organizing his scrolls in preparation for their upcoming “visit” to the goblin camp. He’d given Astarion a wide berth since the revelation of his vampiric condition a few days earlier, so he was surprised to see the pale elf looming over him now, a peculiar expression on his face.
“You know,” Gale offered with a smile, “in my extensive journeys across manifold realms, I do believe that is not a question that I’ve ever been asked before. I honestly can’t decide whether or not I should be offended.”

Of the many side effects Gale has faced as a result of his whole “being physical host to an imminently destructive magical orb” problem, he somehow never anticipated his blood now apparently smelling irresistible to vampires (or at least, one particular vampire) to be one of them.
