Summary
Red and Blue as they go on with their lives, just being themselves, attempting to function both myself and with each other. But, functioning is so hard.
I just wanted to add that every time Red "says" something it's in sign language. In the fics from Red's POV he always refers to it as signed like him saying 'I signed.' but Blue's POV says 'said' most of the time because I feel like that's what he would refer it to. Just hoping to not cause any confusion.

But after a pretty bad fight with one of his friends everything starts to crash down on him, and it dawns on him that no amount of running will chase off his past.

That’s it. Technically, he’s part of the Hall of Fame, technically he’s an accepted Champion. Technically, the title was his once, so it will always be his. Technically, he can’t lose it. He just loses being the present Champion.
He also, briefly, held the Kanto record for youngest ever Pokemon League champion. That was until Red, three months younger, caught up to him.
Really, Blue hadn’t even been surprised.

Gavin leaned forward on his arms, his frown deepening. “Well, what else are friends for? You clearly don’t seem to think it’s fucked up how they use you like a fuckin’ ‘droid or something. You’re a person, Connor. You’ve got rights.”
Connor stiffened, biting down on his bottom lip. His stress levels ticked higher, a warning light flashing in the corner of his vision. There was a lot to process. A lot he didn’t want to process. He focused on the easiest part to digest, and echoed, “Friends?”
Gavin raised a brow. “I dunno what else you’d call this,” he said, gesturing between the two of them. “It’s not like I come here just because you make a decent cup of coffee.”
Set prior to the events of the game. Connor deviated two years early and has been surviving best he can by pretending to be human. He meets Detective Reed, a caffeine addict who always makes it a point to come by his coffee shop every morning for his daily latte, and, as it turns out, something more.

He hadn’t looked over at Hank since he started talking to him directly. Chris and Connor exchanged glances. Connor’s interest was more than piqued. Hank was acting odd. Almost… protective? Was that the word? Protective over Gavin?
“Gavin?” Hank called again and Gavin’s attention finally snapped to the acting captain.
“Yes. Hank. I understand.”
An accident at a neighboring precinct has two departments sharing office space, but Gavin and Hank have murderous beef with the guest lieutenant and Connor is determined to find out why.
