He already knew what Helmut had said. Toto had warned him – it was the reason he’d gone looking in the first place – but he still clicked on the first article to appear anyways, stomach churning as he slowly parsed through what had been said.

Comment after common after comment. Thousands of DMs. Telling him he was an awful driver. Calling him a sellout. Threatening him. Saying he should kill himself.
The worst were the ones that said Max had to hate him now. The ones that implied that Kimi’s mentor had turned on him. That his friend and one of four adults on the grid he felt like he could count on hated him. \
