Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng isn't the clumsy, stuttering mess that almost everyone thinks she is. Who she really is, is Mei Chao-xing— Princess of China.
Since the age of six, Mei has been living with her aunt and uncle under the identity of Marinette, a bakery girl. She had to move to Paris for protection reasons, as word of an assassin in China had begun to spread.
Though, things aren't particulary miraculous in Paris either; Akumas, bullies, and a liar are the source of her misfortune.
When her coronation starts to get closer, nearly three weeks away, her class is invited by the Emperor and Empress and with her being the princess, Marinette is allowed to invite a few friends outside of their class. Sadly Lila Rossi is there to spoil the fun.Or.
Marinette is the Princess of China, and her class gets invited to her coronation.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Not real. Well, In some cases not real. Other times it just Marinette Dupain-Cheng-Wayne. Or just Marinette Wayne.
Whether or not her name is Dupain-Cheng or Wayne though, it doesn't matter.
She's the bat's daughter. And just like her siblings, she's a bat through and through.
But whether she's an ex-assassin or just a hero in need of help, at the end of the day, she is the night, she is the darkness, but most of all, she has a family.
And her family just so happens to be a bunch of overprotective vigilantes.
