Kal only shrugged. “People are going to try and snatch whatever you pick up, B.”
‘…𝘙𝘶𝘥𝘦.’
“And why would they do that?”
Kal tipped his head, as if the answer were obvious. “Well, if I were hunting for the best gift, I’d be watching the detective.”
Bruce stood there, blinking at Kal, while Kal blinked right back. He kept his expression carefully neutral, but something must have slipped, because a slow, smug grin tugged at Kal’s mouth, mischief brightening his eyes.
“...Have you never been to a white elephant party before, Bruce?”
“Codenames. We’re not inside,” He grumbled, pointedly ignoring the question.
Kal rested his free hand on his hip. “B.” When Bruce refused to rise to the bait, Kal continued, “I know you too well for that to work on me.”
Bruce let out another low, reluctant sound before conceding. “...No. I haven’t. I heard the game is relatively simple and required no extensive research.”
Kal’s grin only widened. “Oh, this is going to be fun~”

Bookmarker's Notes
“And it talked about tying cherry stems into knots as a sign of…you know.”
Bruce raised an eyebrow at them.
“Anyway,” GL said quickly, “Barry said nobody could actually do that-”
“There’s no way! It’s impossible!”
“And I said he just wasn’t old enough for it yet because I’ve done it plenty of times. In fact, I was the cherry stem official champion for my squadron!”
“There’s no such thing!” Barry insisted.
“If you’re such a doubting Thomas, I’ll prove it to you! Go get me some cherries!”Flash disappeared into the kitchens then reappeared seconds later with a bowl full of cherries. Green Lantern proceeded to pick the stem off one and then with a great amount of gargling, mouth twisting, and disturbing expressions got the stem in place.
He popped out his tongue and showed Barry the knot.
“Oh my Rao, Hal! You can do it!”
“What, like it’s hard?” Batman said dryly, typing away on his computer.Feeling eyes on him, he turned to see the whole table staring at him, not just Barry and Hal.
“What?”

Summary
When has what happened in Vegas ever stayed in Vegas?
Most married couples will say they married because they loved each other, they’ll say they stayed together with hard work, determination, and love.
Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent are not like most married couples.
...
“I didn’t even say something stupid.”
“Your face is stupid,” Bruce retorted immediately.
Clark frowned. “That’s no way to talk to your husband.”

Summary
"Clark? What's wrong?" He asks quietly, reaching out to rest a bandaged hand against Clark's shoulder.
Clark smiles, soft and a little sad.
"Nothing. I just... I'm glad you're here, Bruce," he says, and hopes his voice is steady. The words are honest, despite how inadequate they seem, but he can tell Bruce is reassured by them. His posture relaxes, the tension in his jaw eases, and his grip tightens, just a fraction, on Clark's shoulder.

Summary
Bruce knows the moment he sees him.
It’s not his Clark.
It’s not just the costume, with the low-cut neckline, or the way he hugs Diana, without any of the awkward tension that used to simmer there. No, it’s the way his gaze lands on Bruce, his brilliant blue eyes blank and unrecognizing, and how he smiles, that large Superman-patented smile as bright as the sun.
Bruce knows the moment he sees him that it’s over.
Inspired by a post about how everyone was happy that the Pre-New52 Superman came back, but what did New52 Batman think?

The Seneschal blinked slowly; the ring translated this as understanding, albeit not without a tinge of disapproval. “As you say, Lantern. We are here in regards to the-,” They said, with a screeching feedback that was either meant to indicate annoyance or an encroaching panic attack- “D’th’yal’yan’tha’stall-Eir’gotuah-si of this place.”

“Oh,” Hal said. Then, in a brilliant moment of word association, stepped aside to motion to Batman with one hand. “He’ll be your guy.”
He watched as, immediately, the envoy turned to Batman and fell to their knees in supplication.
