Post Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker has begun to understand what it means to be both the hero in the suit and the hero without it. While Peter gets to flaunt NYC with the highlights of being the neighborhood-friendly Spider-Man, there are still rough nights where part of being a hero is the part seldom talked about: the trauma. Luckily, Tony Stark is an expert on comfort, cuddles, and talking about trauma.

His knees had gone cold, numbing him as water pooled in his eyes and kissed the length of his face all the way down to dark circles and a smooth-skinned chin. He mustered every ounce of his spider-granted strength to remain upright and control his sobs from getting caught in his puke otherwise he’d have a repeat of the embarrassing time Natasha found him when he had a breakdown a few months ago after a particularly rough mission.
He needed someone, but his mouth soured at the thought. Tell them what? That you’re feeling sick for no reason? That you can’t control your own senses and throwing up so much that you’re crying? That would be embarrassing.
[In short, Peter has an anxiety attack and Iron Man is here to save the day.]
