The council has left Tsunade with little choice in the matter, she had to present the mission to Naruto first.
And, of course, against what most would consider better judgment, Naruto accepts.
The mission?
Seduce and have Kakashi’s children.
_“who’s the target, baa-chan. Who’s baby is the council wanting you to ask me to have?” Naruto couldn’t keep the disgust out of her voice.
Tsunade pushed the saucer of sake closer to Naruto, indicating for her to take a drink.
“Kakashi Hatake” Tsunade admitted with reluctance.
“What!” Naruto couldn’t keep herself from screeching, “Kakashi-sensei?” She asked in disbelief.
“Yes,” the Hokage confirmed.
“They want me to have Kakashi-sensei’s baby?” She continued to flounder.
“Yes,” Tsunade repeated firmly.
Naruto sagged in her seat, her bandaged hand reaching up to run through her hair.
“You're not joking?” she breathed.
“No,” Tsunade answered.
Naruto slammed back the cup of sake like it was a shot, the porcelain dish clattering on the desk when she placed it back down.
“Explain it to me” Naruto eventually asked, unsure where to go from there.

Kakashi didn’t really think he was the best choice for this. He’d tried to explain this to the official who’d summoned him out of bed just before midnight, tried to explain that they ought to wake Umino, or the Sandaime, or literally anyone else, tried to explain that Naruto had only been his genin for a few months and that really, he didn’t know her that well. All to no avail, and now he was standing in the office of the shinobi headquarters that had been converted to the new law enforcement station after the Uchiha police regime was wiped out, watching through one-way glass as the student he was desperately trying not to get too close to rocked herself, arms wrapped around her knees with a shell-shocked expression and wide, distant eyes.

Shikamaru believed he had life figured out before he became a Shinobi. Now thrust in this world with immense responsibility all he knows is work. With a new outlook on life after his near death experience, he is on the road to his dream. As he explores new experiences, he is rocked by the rollercoaster called life. This was a (pretty dirty if you ask me) one shot at first, but I kind of fell in love with what it could become. That’s why the first chapter differs a bit from the rest.
