A beat passes. The gentle flow of slow waves continues to fill the silence. There's a tension to the way it keeps itself perfectly still, and you wonder if it's anticipating the pounce just as much as you do.

Summary
You know more about freight operations than you ever though you would, that's what happens to a mechanics drop out kid. You've passed up "better" jobs because working over night at Fazco's Mega Pizza Plex is easy. You do your job, only your job, and you do it to a fucking T. You keep a couple guys in line, don't bother security and no one messes with you.
Why then, is that overgrown, betty spaghetti looking mother fucker of a "night guard" on your case? What about your clothes? This bitch in on.
Basically you are the worst scrunklo Moon has ever seen. A complete mess. At first he just wants you to either get fired(as you should) or follow the rules like everyone else. Somehow, in between the insults and the complete inability to care for yourself, you endear yourself to him. He thinks maybe the cost of a fixer upper might be worth it after all.

War.
It was almost all you knew. Amidst the ruined buildings, the ravaged landscapes, and the lifeless bodies of soldiers, you desperately tried to fight, but not with weapons. Being a doctor in the army meant you were on the front line, watching soldiers kill each other in this senseless war. It meant you were the one saving lives, while constantly in danger of falling under enemy fire yourself. And the danger of encountering an Animatronic, an enemy soldier, was ever-present as you searched the ruins for survivors.
So when you saw the ink-black blood of an enemy soldier, you shouldn't have cared, you should have turned around and left. But you didn't. Because you were a doctor before you were a soldier, and you couldn't leave someone without care. But what if the person you encountered at the end of that bloody trail was none other than Eclipse, a general in the Animatronic army ? What if your decision to help him triggered something you could never have imagined ? What if the consequences were very different from what you had prepared for ? Would you regret your decision ?

Apparently, when you are trying to avoid something, with every fiber of your soul, that is when it will always find you. Perhaps it's the rhetoric of the red string itself; how it dangles from your hand, pompous. Saying, smugly, without words, I told you so.
