Izuku steps towards the other teen, holding his hand out to shake, “I’m Midoriya Izuku by the way. We haven’t officially met yet, right? I don’t remember seeing you at the Entrance Exam?”
The blue-haired boy pauses, studies his hand uncertainly before shrugging. “Shirakumo Oboro,” he introduces in return, hand phasing right through Izuku’s when he goes to return the handshake. Shirakumo doesn’t seem surprised by it, but Izuku whips his hand back when the intense chill climbs up his arm.

Summary
“Dirk…” is about as far as you get. He huddles somehow even further into himself and your heart breaks. You take a deep, shaky breath, willing any words to leave your lungs.
You try again. “You know you can tell me anything, right?”
You hear him take in his own shaking breath, his head curled into his own shoulder, his knees drawn up to his chest. He nods slowly without lifting his head. You want so badly to do something, to take his pain away, but you still don't even know what's wrong. And so, all you can do is keep your hands to your chest as you wait.
Finally he lifts his head. He slides his feet down the mattress, no longer curling so completely in on himself. His knees still sit slightly bent in front of him, his hands on his shins holding them in place as if to curl up again at a moment's notice. He angles his head toward you, but with how close he is you can see his eyes focused on the sheets below rather than your own. His voice is quiet but steady when he speaks.
“I was going to kill myself.”

Aka famous movie director "D Strider" pays Karkat to review his shitty movies, and Karkat grows increasingly alarmed that they actually mean something under all of the mind-numbing bullshit. Meeting Strider, the biggest douchebag in the world, does not help. Also he keeps meeting this annoyingly smart human kid and his awkward/obnoxious but very hot guardian. These two things are entirely unrelated.
