Have you ever felt fire creep along your skin, slow and deliberate, like a beast savoring its meal? Not the sudden snap of a stray ember or the sharp nip of candle flame, but the true hunger of it—heat curling inward, devouring, unmaking you thread by thread. Have you ever breathed smoke so thick, so absolute, that it wove itself into your breath, into your bones, until you became part of the ruin itself? Until there was nothing left but the choked silence of your own burning?
I have. Many times. And it always smells the same.
The first thing I feel is warmth. A gentle touch, almost kind. A liar’s comfort before the pain sets in. The air is thick, heavy with the acrid bite of charred wood, the brittle snap of splitting beams. A sound as familiar as my own name. Smoke presses into my lungs, wrapping tight, a vice of unseen fingers, ruthless in their hold. My body jerks, a marionette pulled by old strings. My throat tightens. The past reaches forward, eager to claim me again...

Summary
In a world where monsters are real, the humans were able to control them and are now using them to fight for their wars.
The sergeant Soap Mactavish from the military task force 141 is finally able to summon is own monster, wich he names Ghost.
But as Ghost refuses to cooperate with humans, so Soap must find a way to gain his trust.
Although the whole world seems to be telling them to stay away from each other, they are nevertheless drawn hopelessly closer to each otherA love story, intertwined with war and questions of humanity.

Summary
It was one thing to know monsters existed. It was another thing entirely to grow up as part of the MacTavish clan, one of the oldest werewolf clans that existed. Being a MacTavish came with ‘capital E’ Expectations. They saw it as their duty to protect humanity from the things it couldn’t protect itself from. Things like vampires.
There was only one future for all MacTavish children - to be turned on their seventeenth birthday and join the clan in full, as werewolves themselves, to carry on that duty.
Or, there was supposed to be only one future for them. John had never been all that good at following rules, though. And while he wanted, desperately, to help people, he wanted to do it under his own power. To earn it, through more than just the happenstance of being born to a family of more-than-human creatures. So he did the only thing he could think to do.
He ran away.

Summary
After the events of the MW2 campaign, Task Force 141 gears up for their next big challenge. However, before they can get started, they must deal with a parting gift from General Shepherd. Before going underground, he used his power to reassign the members to different units. Laswell and Price are able to get it under control, but not before Soap's departure date. Until it can get sorted out, Soap spends some time working under another lieutenant. Ghost doesn't appreciate the state that his Johnny is returned to them in.
