Ever is the sweetness of youth corrupted beneath his touch. Wormtongue, they name him. An apt moniker, for with his wicked words he sets about the fetid decay inside the ripest of fruits, a rot which shall remain invisible until the skin is split open with hungering teeth.
Grima is undeserving of hope.

Summary
Viktor knew how he looked. With his sharp angles and hollowed cheeks and colt-like limbs, he was a serpentine god with all his alabaster beauty.
The nobles whispered about it. The investors watched Viktor move, fascination warring with discomfort. The Council scoffed at the idea of a Zaunite on their board—until they saw him.
Exotic. Enthralling. An exquisite thing to be coveted for themselves.
Viktor had once despised it.
Despised the way they stared, the way their fascination was always tinged with something possessive, as if he were a rare specimen on display. Loathed the murmurs in the Academy halls, the furtive glances that dogged him everywhere he went.
Now?
Now, he used it.
If they should lust after him, they did so at their own peril.
Desire was a fundamental human weakness. A distraction. A vulnerability. And if Jayce Talis was to prove useful, then Viktor would use every weakness he had.

When Viktor finally asks why Jayce stayed behind inside the Anomaly with him, Jayce stares at him as though he’s supremely disappointed by the question— as if Viktor has betrayed his own brilliance by asking something so irredeemably stupid. “How could I not? We’re partners.”
Partners, Jayce calls them. Not for the first time, Viktor wonders: Partners in what?

Or: Jayce and Viktor survive the Hexcore, a blizzard, their own bodies, sharing a bed and all the things they’re too afraid to say. Slowly, they put themselves back together— piece by stubborn piece.

Summary
September 3018, war is brewing (or already arrived, as some would say), and Grima is up to his usual tricks and nonsense, including living rent-free in Eomer's brain. Orcs are prowling, wargs are making mischief, treason is in the air, and the harvest is around the corner. In the midst of all the soothing, spying, oath-breaking, family drama, and invasive questions about what it means to lead in uncertain times, Grima realises that the master he's betrayed everyone for has turned on Sauron himself making our little snake a great deal more concerned about everything the future holds and willing to perhaps do a little double-agent action provided there's some guarantees in place for his future safety. Eomer hates skullduggery but, when dealing with Grima one must learn to speak in the language Grima understands best: blackmail, manipulation, and Politicks.
Alternate universe - but I wouldn't call this a redemption fic since Grima doesn't really go through ringer on that.

The second harvest is being brought in, the sun is beginning its slow decent into long winter nights, and the dead are out to remind the living what is owed. But mostly, Grima and Eomer shag.
Note: Takes place post-Cycles of Song/the war/Be Not Afraid of Plenty but no need have read that monstrosity of a trilogy+ to follow this. Just know it's post-war and Theoden is still alive.

Summary
An alternate universe where Grima accepts Frodo's offer at the end of the Scouring of the Shire to remain at Bag End. From there, a journey towards something akin to making amends - I'll not say redemption for that requires remorse of which Grima feels very little. Along the way, there is acquisition of friendships(?) and the creation of a printing press about which Grima has Many Spicy Opinions and, eventually, a return to Rohan.

Summary
The latest installment of the Boromir-Lives LOTR rewrite. Helm's Deep has concluded and we are on to the Return of the King.
Boromir and Gandalf are off to Gondor to see what they can do to help. Aragorn, because he likes to take the most whack routes possible, is to drag the remainder Fellowship through the paths of the dead. No one signed up for this.
With our Rohan compatriots: Grima continues to be a hot wreck who is actually managing himself not half-bad, all things considered. Eowyn just wants to really, really fight the baddies. Theoden thinks everyone needs to cool it for ten seconds. Eomer has never heard the word "chill" in his life.

Summary
Post-ROTK, Grima's trying to make good on a vague sorta-promise that he'd be a slightly more ethical individual (for a given value of "ethical"), Eomer is learning what it is to be king-in-waiting. It is all a bit much for everyone involved - made more so when the two are stuck together on a tour of the north of Rohan in the winter season.
Eomer has zero (0) feelings for a certain former traitor. Grima insists his heart is non-existent, he might have eaten it when he was in the womb. Things progress from there.
