Summary
The Room is all Christopher knows.
Born in captivity to his nineteen year old father, Christopher spends the first five years of his life non the wiser to the fact that they- and the man who visits his Dad every night- are not the only people in the world.
Until his fifth birthday, when the man who kidnapped his father drags an unconscious stranger into The Room and leaves him there.
Together, Buck and Eddie must work to free Christopher from the cage that he was born into. And they save each other in the process.

Eddie has no idea how to cope when a temporary case of amnesia causes the return of Buck 1.0. Buck has no clue why his future self hasn't made the moves on his hot best friend. It all goes pretty well, considering.

Summary
If Buck could build a time machine, there are three things in his life that he would change.
The first, and most glaringly obvious, is that he would have marched up to Chase Mackey and slapped the business card out of his hand. He then would scream at past-Buck and tell him what an idiotic move pursuing the lawsuit would be.
If that wasn't satisfying enough, he would go even further back to the truck bombing and position himself in such a way that when the truck went over it didn't just land on his leg. It would be kinder, he thinks, to have it all just be over. To save the 118 the extended guilt of his desperation to hang on to his imagined place in the family.
If he was the most honest with himself though, there was only one true answer for what he would do with his time machine. He would go back to before he was conceived and save the world the trouble of bringing Evan Buckley into it.
Unfortunately he hadn't figured out time travel just yet, and is instead stuck with the usual man-behind duties that comes with being the 118's biggest nuisance.

Summary
“Buck…” Eddie wheezed, his eyes rolling in his head. Maddie snapped her gaze down to look at him and almost burst into tears at the sight.
Eddie’s sun kissed skin was deathly pale, with blue tinging his lips and dark circles under his eyes. Buck never would’ve left him. Not like this.
“Buck…”
“What about him?” Maddie heard herself ask, her voice trembling with it. Eddie’s lips moved but a wordless huff left his lips as his eyes started to close.
Chimney shook his shoulder, tapped his face, anything he could to keep him awake. “Eyes on me, Eddie! No sleeping on the job.”
Eddie made a wordless gurgle sound that still made it seem like he was drowning. He possibly was. Maddie could sense the salt water flooding his lungs.
“Eddie!” Maddie said, shaking him herself. “Where’s Buck?”
Eddie wheezed and said, “… boat.”
Then Eddie stopped breathing and Chimney started CPR.

…except Eddie.
Hen is medically concerned. Chim is asking for Buck’s bank info. Ravi is deeply entertained.
And Buck? Buck is pretty sure Eddie is his boyfriend.
Honestly, it just feels right.
(Or: five hours of amnesia, several bad guesses about Ravi’s name, one very confused golden retriever, and one conversation Eddie will never forget.)

Oh dear god.
Eddie’s makes a couple of incomprehensible sounds as he stares across the street and sees the slice of the harbor between the buildings. But eventually, in the interest of conversation, he asks, “So I’m in this book?”
“Yeah,” Christopher says. “I don’t know all what happened because some of the pages are torn out, but I know you and Buck met and fell in love.”

Buck spun toward the door, but Eddie was already moving—gun instinct, no weapon. He yanked at the handle. Locked. Solid. No give.
“Shit,” Buck breathed, backing up toward the middle of the room. “This is..." he looked around once more, "this is a setup.”
From above, there was a hiss. A faint metallic clink.
