But now I keep blurting out everything I think without a filter.”Alternatively: Katsuki gets accidentally hit by a truth-serum quirk right before a mission with Izuku, Kirishima, and Jirou. As if verbalizing every single thought in his head is not enough trouble, there’s also this: he’s in love with Izuku, and won’t be able to keep hiding it for long.

He didn’t expect to meet one cold amber eye, almost red in the light, and the barrel of a gun pointed at his forehead.
The man, no boy. He couldn’t be older than Atsushi himself stared back at him. The familiar bandages wove around his eye obscuring more of the boy’s body than Atsushi was used to. A grin was placed on his lips, and Atsushi noticed how similar he was dressed to a certain man with an unfortunate haircut. An all-black suit with a clearly oversized jacket hung off the boy's slim frame.
“Well, well, who do we have here? Tora? How cute,” the boy sang.

Summary
All Chuuya has for the day is a rough notebook, a few pens and his phone. He has yet to buy the textbooks. He’ll do that during the weekend, he decides. He rummages through his bag and picks out the notebook. It’s a thin book, really, mostly because Chuuya doesn’t expect himself to make elaborate notes or anything. Maybe he’ll just record the lectures on his phone and listen to them like podcasts before the exams.
“That’s my seat,” he hears a voice that makes him look up.
“Excuse me?”
The other guy clicks his tongue in annoyance. “I said that’s my seat. You’re sitting on my seat.”
“Are the seats permanently assigned or something?”
“No.”
“Then sit somewhere else.”
The other guy blinks at him. Chuuya is ready for a fight if he has to. It’s not like he hasn’t dealt with bullies in the past. He’s somewhat proud to say that he has, perhaps, made them cry a lot more than the other way around. So, yeah, he’s ready for anything.
Except that the guy only smirks at him.

"Dazai..." Chuuya's voice comes out too tight and small, unlikely to ever reach Dazai. His hand lifts shakily, in some dazed attempt to stop him. There is panic wild and fast in his chest, the beginnings of hyperventilation, his breaths shallow and quick.
Something's wrong, something's wrong—
This hurts too much, it's not supposed to be like this—
His vision is blurring, and his head is taut and aching with the stress and anxiety and so much anguish that he can barely comprehend it.
The last of Dazai's hazy form disappears, far in the distance.
_______Forced into a difficult situation, Dazai has to leave Chuuya behind post-Corruption without his usual thorough check-up. Only, he has no idea just what state Chuuya was in as he was walking away from him that night.
Grief is a good teacher on how to value those you love. When he gets Chuuya back, Dazai uses his lessons well.

“Shut the fuck up. That’s not the problem here. You? A ‘zest for life?’ Looking forward to each new morning? Hah! Rimbaud would sooner come back to life.”
Dazai turns to Chuuya with the barest facsimile of a smile painted over his lips.
“I,” he says sweetly, “am going to gut you open like a fish.”
Dazai and Chuuya are seasoned mafiosos at the ripe old age of almost-seventeen. They’ve fought gang wars, interrogated prisoners, and done all manner of unspeakable things. Now, they face their greatest challenge yet: going (undercover) to a real high school. With regular teens (who may or may not be desperately trying to get them to kiss).
