A certain expert hacker messages Spock about some rather nefarious things. He responds, thinking it necessary to humour them in the hopes of discovering this messenger's identity.

A loud bang startles him, his teeth instinctively drawing together, only to part against upon meeting something soft and squishy. A rough yelp. The metallic taste of blood. A sharp kick to his chest pushes him back. An ache blossoming along the area of contact. Not hard enough to send him flying but enough to create distance.
Katsuki's hand flies up to cover his mouth, his nose wrinkling and eyes screwing shut with a pained expression. He winces, cracking open his eyes to stare back at Eijiro, whose eyes are as wide as saucers as the realisation sets in.
He bit his tongue. He hurt him.

Katsuki tenses next to him, peering through his fingers at the blue-eyed boy that stares right back at him with a casual (almost teasing) smile. They're in public. He has to at least pretend to be a shit.
"Relax! Just putting on a show. Theatre kid things. I'm not touching whatever's wrong with you with a ten foot pole." He continues, humming casually as some people look at him and then look away as if he's about to get blown to hell. As if Katsuki was here first and he sat down to taunt him. Bunch of morons. "Unless you want me to? I'll listen but don't expect A+ counselling. I'm an asshole, not a therapist."

“I told you to stay.” Is what Geralt eventually says and Jaskier’s throat feels tight.
“I tried to. I.. didn’t have enough coin. Innkeeper gave me an extra night purely out of pity and then I had to leave.” Jaskier feels uncomfortably warm under Geralt’s stare. Geralt considered it for a few moments before nodding.
“I was wondering what happened. I came back. I wasn’t.. trying to leave you again.” Geralt’s voice was a familiar drone, an attempt to sound apathetic- but Jaskier knew better. He was embarrassed. Guilty.
“I took a job to clear my mind. And.. to get you something.” What? To get Jaskier something? “I could give it to you out here.” Geralt continued, fidgeting subtly with Roach’s reins.
“Or you could join me in my room.”———
Day 1 of my angstober! Jaskier and Geralt both experience miscommunication in their own ways.

Summary
Jim wrote a romance novel just to prove he could. Then someone leaked it on the public Starfleet server, and suddenly his embarrassingly smutty and sentimental Human/Vulcan love story is all over campus. Luckily for Jim, no one knows that he’s the author. Unluckily for Jim, someone forwarded the novel to the staff of the Vulcan embassy. Now, every Vulcan in San Francisco is reassessing the logical merits of taking Human bondmates.
Spock reads a Human/Vulcan romance novel because he can hardly avoid it. Suddenly, he is consumed by the need to locate the author, ascertain their wellbeing, and instruct them in the way of Vulcan mating bonds. Luckily for Spock, it doesn't take long to identify the author as Jim Kirk. Unluckily for Spock, Jim is unconscious and surrounded by interested Vulcans who also read the book.
