While not the softest of greetings, Rohan thought that the question was more than warranted. For once, Josuke looked any other teenager. Maybe a well-dressed teenager, with his t-shirt tucked into his designer belt and barely a scratch on his polished loafers, but a teenager nonetheless. Without that tacky modified school uniform, he could have blended in perfectly with a crowd his age.
Unfortunately, that didn’t change the fact that they were both standing in the middle of an empty convenience store at one in the morning with blood smeared across the entire lower half of Josuke's face.

Good lord
Like. This is absolutely not something that makes me horny. I like non-con in fiction, don't get me wrong, but my type of fictional non-con is the type where the victim ends up liking it.This is NOT that. But the "meta side-eyeing of rape culture" tag is absolutely correct. And something about this fic both horrified and satisfied me in equal measure.
On one hand, I felt sorry for the rapist in this fic. On the other hand, I thought of all the irl men who have gotten away with rape (and worse), famous and powerful men whose career is still strong after being publicly convicted of horrific acts such as domestic abuse (looking at you, Johnny Depp), who - often - managed to actually defeat the very people they hurt (again, looking at Johnny fucking Depp) and well. It felt a bit like justice, even if it wouldn't actually be justice if it happened irl.
(Still more of a justice than what usually happens, though.) -

Mike is surprisingly gentle with him, for someone Jon knows is a murderer, and at least somewhere on the path from someone to something, even if he’s not actually moving any further down it. Though it’s not as though Jon can exactly talk where that path is concerned, considering the growing suspicion in his mind that being the Archivist means walking that path too.
