Summary
At some point, Mike had come up with a plan that he thought was pretty genius. Every time Will had a nightmare, he would quickly wrap the boy up in his arms before his friend even had a second to protest. He would hold the boy until he fell asleep and, often, they would wake up in the same position. He did this in the hopes he would not only comfort his friend, but also make him feel less embarrassed about his nightmares.
Before he could lose his nerve, Mike laid back down on the bed, opening his arms wide; he hoped Will had adjusted to the darkness enough to see his movement.
“C’mere,” He blurted.

Or, Will wakes up from a nightmare and Mike helps in the best way he knows how: Cuddles. Which would be fine, except for the fact he's been trying to hide his feelings for his best friend since the moment he touched down in California.

Now that a few seconds have passed and the shock and confusion of waking up not in an alternate hell dimension while getting eaten by demon bats or strangled by tentacles has worn off enough, Steve is now very, very aware that he’s awake, thank you. Because holy fucking shit every inch of his body hurts. Even more than the time Billy Hargrove nearly beat him to death, gave him a black eye, a concussion, and two broken ribs. When those crazy mall Russians had given him some more head trauma to add to his growing collection, not to mention nearly knocked his teeth out.
That had felt like a goddamn picnic compared to what’s going on where all those demobats had ripped into his sides.
“Yeah,” Steve hisses (because maybe talking will distract him, who fucking knows), “—I kinda gathered that when I woke up with you gawking at me. I mean, you’re a cool dude, Munson, but you wouldn’t be the main attraction in my afterlife, man. No offense.”
“Hey, man. None taken. I’m still stuck on the fact that King Steve thinks I’m a cool dude.”

More silence, this time somehow more deafening. Buck inspects a stray line of grout until he can’t bear it anymore, then looks up for judgment.
Chim’s eyebrows are sky-high. “You’ve been tying Eddie’s shoes?” he repeats, strangled and high-pitched. “Regularly?”

Summary
Really, Eddie doesn’t care that the PTA aren’t his biggest fan. He knows he misses too many meetings, and it’s not like he’s best friends with any of the other parents. It doesn’t affect Christopher, so it doesn’t bother him. He’ll pay for the annual fundraising mugs and consider his duty done.
But then Buck picks Christopher up from a class trip and it all goes to hell.
Like, of course Buck is everyone’s dream guy. He’s responsible with kids, and kind, and funny and interesting and hot to touch. That’s obvious. But now Eddie’s fighting to keep the PTA moms, teachers, and dads, all off an unsuspecting and tempting Buck.
Because Eddie is a good friend. Right?
