Tony should be checking out his own wings, but he's too busy gawking at Bucky's. The feathers interlock seamlessly in armor plating, with a liquid smoothness to their movement. The leading edge of each wing looks razor-sharp, tapering into fine, delicate tips.
"Holy shit," Tony gapes, and Bucky exhales loudly, the vibranium feathers rippling. It’s mesmerizing. Bucky is… mesmerizing. Can Tony touch them? He really wants to touch them, even though he should be focusing on more pertinent questions. Such as, how are they powered? How much weight can they lift? Can they be used in combat? Or, for instance, what the actual fuck is going on?
"Hey," Bucky licks his lips and flutters down, his boots gently touching the floor. "You are glowin’. What the hell, Tony, you are—shiny."
America Chavez drags Tony and Bucky through the multiverse, and they emerge on the other side with metal wings. Because obviously, that’s exactly what Tony needs on top of his I-pine-after-Bucky-Barnes-with-the-intensity-of-a-thousand-suns problem.

When Tony considers laying down the charm on Bucky Barnes around Steve, it's not with some grand plan in mind to actually be nicer. If anything, it serves the sole purpose of pissing Steve off.
The problem is, when Tony makes this decision—this half-cocked, spur-of-the-moment resolution to dial up the harmless flirt offensive—he doesn't pause to consider the potential fallout. Honestly, not for a second does he entertain the thought that this could backfire so spectacularly, not just with Bucky, but with Winter too.
Tony has no clue how he lets it get this far, but it’s not just his own fault. Not. Alright?

And then he realizes Barnes must be talking about pool, and Clint huffs a laugh. “Only when there’s money involved,” he says, smirking, and Barnes kind of nods, like that makes any sort of sense.
Then Barnes nods again, a little more firmly, and says “You got a place?”
Which is about the point that Clint realizes that he’s not meeting the Winter Soldier in a bar, he’s being picked up by the Winter Soldier in a bar and-
“Yeah,” he croaks, clears his throat, thinks wildly that he’s really fucking glad Kate has Lucky for a few days, and says “Yeah, I got a place.”
Or, how Bucky got his groove back.

Everyone knows Captain America is an alpha. His tragic romance with Howard Stark is as popular a topic for movies and academic papers as his exploits in the war. Sure, Stark never said a word, and he clearly moved on, given that Tony Stark is currently alive. But even now, people like to gossip in hushed whispers about how sad it is that Howard Stark passed away a mere two years before they found the good Captain in the ice.
Bucky gets it, alright? Alpha/omega is the norm. Matches sanctioned by god or whatever bullshit your conservative Christian sect of the day likes to ramble about. It’s the twenty-first century, and the world still runs on a maddening policy of straight until proven otherwise. Thing is, Bucky has most certainly proven otherwise and has been doing so since he was a wee alpha panting after some knothead or the other because being queer didn’t magically make him any less stupid than your average horny teenager.
Bucky’s an alpha, Bucky likes alphas, and he’d love nothing more than to climb Steve Rogers like a goddamn monkey bar.
