Summary
This happens after season 10. After a long fight, the Darkness has been locked and defeated. The gates of Hell have been closed with it too. Rowena is dead. Charlie has come back to life. And the gates of Heaven have been partially closed, making Castiel fall and become human in a painful process.
Now Castiel lives in the bunker with Sam and Dean and Dean can’t suppress his feelings for Cas anymore, and neither the ex-angel can. Things are quiet in the supernatural world, there are some occasional hunts, but it is quiet, and in that quietness, Dean and Castiel are going to try and have what they didn’t have the chance to before; a relationship.
This is about Dean and Castiel getting together and how their lives go once they manage to do so.

Summary
Atemporalia: A rare congenital condition in which a person possesses a birthmark that, in adulthood, develops into an image called a soulmark. This mark, found in the palm of the hand, is meant to “bond” an individual with a compatible mate (a “soulmate”) through a series of biochemical reactions. Persons with Atemporalia activate this process by pressing their soulmarks together. The name Atemporalia is given to this condition due to the arresting of age that occurs once the adult soulmark erupts. Persons with Atemporalia, once bonded, resume aging and can expect an average lifespan with no further impact of the condition on their lives. Prognosis for persons who do not bond is unknown.
When the case of a killer who wouldn’t die required a consultant, Dean and Sam were directed to Castiel, who possessed a particular condition that made him perfect for the role—and for Dean.
Castiel ran a humble curiosities shop in Sedona, his hunting days long behind him (though never far from his mind). When the Winchesters showed up, Castiel instantly recognized the green-eyed man before him: he was his soulmate, the one he’d waited decades for.
So he said the only thing he could say:

More accurately, trying to get out of one, as he comes bounding over to Castiel, exasperated at best. The man schools his features before turning a bit more sheepish and embarrassed, a fascinatingly quick change of expression as he reads Castiel’s nametag.
“Hi uh- Cast-eel, I’m real sorry about that. My brother is, uh, something of a nervous flyer. He will stop being a dumbass as soon as he gets Metallica going on the tv.”

And oh, okay, one thing does spring to mind, if he’s being honest with himself, especially considering the way things normally play out between them, the way Dean was gearing up for Cas’s warm, solid weight pressing him down into the bed sheets. The trouble is, Dean is rarely being honest with himself.

Meeting Castiel Novak changed his life. Castiel was unlike anyone Dean had ever met before. He was kind, gentle, and had a deep understanding of the struggles that came with being an omega, even though the man was an alpha. Castiel was also patient, allowing Dean to open up at his own pace and never pushing him to reveal more than he was comfortable with. As they grew closer, Dean found himself sharing things with Castiel that he had never told anyone else. It was like Castiel could see through all of his defenses and truly understand him. With Castiel, Dean felt like he could finally be himself, without fear of judgment or rejection.
It was too bad Dean didn't date alphas.

Dean nodded, still a bit skeptical but intrigued nonetheless. "So, what do we do with it?" he asked, gesturing towards the tiny elf.
Castiel chuckled softly. "We give it a name and find a spot for it to 'watch' over us. And according to the instructions, we shouldn't touch it or it will lose its magic." Castiel picked up the small booklet that came with the elf and flipped through the pages. "It says here that the elf moves to a different spot in the house every night, so we have to keep an eye out for it in the morning. And apparently, it's watching us all day long, so we have to be on our best behavior."
Dean raised an eyebrow, still not entirely convinced. "Sounds like a lot of work for a tiny doll," he remarked, glancing at the elf sitting on the kitchen counter.
Castiel shrugged. "Well, it's a small price to pay for a little extra magic during the holidays. Plus, it'll make Ben happy."
