A long slow-burn fic from Regulus’ POV, beginning in 1972.
In this version of the story, Remus Lupin never goes to Hogwarts. His parents keep him home, afraid someone might discover their son is a werewolf. Instead he receives private magical tutoring and attends Muggle schools.
Sirius Black eventually meets Remus anyway. But Regulus Black saw him first.
This story explores how it might have changed Regulus’ fate if the two of them had found each other and he hadn’t been alone.

Summary
When Sirius ran away from home during the summer before his seventh year at Hogwarts, he didn't realize how it would affect those he left behind. Specifically, his little brother.
When his older brother left, he had brought shame upon their family, and Regulus had to pay for his brother's actions. His parents were crueler than ever, and to make up for their disowned son's betrayal, they put all their focus on making sure that their spare would not make the same mistakes. To bring honor back upon their family, they have his future planned for him, and Regulus knows that there is nothing he can do about it.
But he didn't count on just how deep his brother's love for him truly ran, nor that one of his friends would try and help him save Regulus. Nor how that one friend would change his life forever...

Summary
Regulus watches the car approach from the balcony, the music blaring. As if the whole ordeal wasn't over the top enough, he starts honking along to the beat, before he sticks his head out the open driver window and whoops loudly. Regulus rolls his eyes but there's a small fond smile pulling at the corner of his lips as he steps back into his room and makes his way down the stairs to greet the newcomers. One could say he skipped down the steps, although he would vehemently deny this observation.
It's not that Regulus isn't happy Sirius seems to have made such good friends while he was away. Of course he's happy for his brother. But he won't lie and say he's excited necessarily about having three strangers in his house. Strangers who all know each other, who already have comfortable dynamics he's somehow meant to fit into. It's… daunting.

In his dreams Harry is happy it is his waking life that is the nightmare. With being stuck at the Dursleys with no contact with his friends since he had gotten back after the Tournaments. That coupled with his knowledge that somewhere out there there was a mad-man who wanted him dead yet everyday the Prophet fails to mention it. So who cared if he found some form of happiness in his dreams even if they were of Draco.

Summary
After the graveyard, Harry goes to the Dursleys only to be beaten and neglected worse than ever. Dudley and his gang get a little heavy-handed and Harry Potter dies.....but he doesn't stay that way.
Turns out that dying triggered an early inheritance and the Basilisk Venom and Phoenix Tears affected it in a weird way. Harry goes to Gringotts to figure out what is going on and learns that Lily and James Potter are not his parents. He in fact has two living breathing parents.
Harry or Hadrian according to his Inheritance test learns he is wanted and cherished. What happens when his bearer takes him and flees? What if his parents decide that keeping him safe is more important than anything in the world? What if they decide they will let the entire Wixen world burn to the ground before they allow their son to fight an evil dark lord?

Summary
Harry Potter doesn't catch the Knight Bus after running away from blowing up Aunt Marge before the start of third year. Snape finds him hiding out and has some questions about Harry's behavior. Upon discovering Harry is being badly abused by the Dursleys, he sets out to rescue the boy. He never planned on adopting him but what's a potions master to do when an abused frightened boy falls in his lap and his parent's wills say Snape should take him? Well, treat him like his own son of course. This sets in motion a series of events uncovering Dumbledore being manipulative and horrible, Harry and Draco becoming best friends, Ron disowning Harry, and Sirius's name being cleared. Oh, and Lord Voldemort coming back into the picture and wanting a new chance at life. Harry and Severus grow closer together as Severus proves he is worthy of Harry's trust, but how will that change when the Dark Lord comes back into his life?
