I stared at the words on the page, reading them over and over again. Possibly hoping for them to disappear. I was able to pry my eyes away to instead gaze up at the loving, empathetic face of my Phoenix. I could tell it was just as confusing and painful to him as it was to me. Not loving Laurance wasn't an option. But how could I go on every day knowing that one day he could be taken from me because of it?

My favorite thing about this book was how the righter wrote Zhongli, they really just expressed how gentle and calm Zhongli's attitude is wonderfully <3
