The reporter cuts in. “What about wearing the other player’s jersey?”
They both turn to her, and Shane says, “Like, the loser wears the winner’s jersey?”
“Maybe at the next game in a couple of months?”
“Is a good idea,” Ilya muses, nudging Shane’s elbow. “You will look better in my jersey than in Montreal jersey.”
Shane makes a low noise, his eyes holding a bit of a spark when he looks back to Ilya. It’s what Ilya was hoping for—the tiniest crack in the mask. He can see a hint of exasperated affection around the corners of Shane’s eyes, a little bit of fire burning just beneath the surface. It sends a thrill down Ilya’s spine, and he wonders if Shane will be snarky when Ilya gets him naked tonight.
“That’s not happening,” Shane replies, shaking his head. “Because you’re not winning.”

He narrows his gaze when the teen shifts; just the thought of sharing this rooftop with Japan's most notorious villain makes his skin prickle. “Deku.”
“Y-yes!” the teenager cries out in relief, taking a small step towards Shota, “I’m Deku! I’m so g-glad you—”
“Deku,” Shota growls darkly, flicking out his capture weapon hastily to snag the villain before he can make his move. He's quick to tug it taut, leaving no room for Deku to escape. “You’re under arrest.”
“I-I’m what?! W-wait!”

Any lasting resistance is pinned in place by Wukongs stare, usually golden eyes washing away to reveal burning red, bloodied with heat and celestial fire, pupils thinning as Macaque breathes deeper at the sight, choked by it.
“Gods, Wukong, how much did you drink?” He isn’t used to those eyes, Wukong only letting them slip when he’s either really mad or really hungry, the latter stirred for his cravings for peaches after his first immortal fruit. It’d been a while ago, and still Wukong would gush over their taste, their texture, and mourn over now having taken any to share with him or the others.
“Not all of it,” Wukong answers, scooting up to be sitting on Macaques lap, lowers legs squeezing Macaques hips tighter to be sure he doesn’t move away. He smiles, suddenly, and offers that look to Macaque who can’t help but gulp. “Saved some.”

He’s not expecting Wukong to try and hurt him, he’s never raised a hand to Macaque in anger in the entire time they’ve known each other, but he’s looking manic, completely different from the Wukong Macaque knows and loves. He looks wild. “Are you...okay?” Macaque asks tentatively, wincing as soon as the words leave his mouth.
Wukong bares his teeth in a poor imitation of a smile. “Fuckin’ peachy.”
Macaque leaves, and then subsequently comes back.
