Just hearing the name was enough to make his stomach clench. Freya threw another piece of driftwood onto the fire, allowing him some time to gather his thoughts.

Valentino hits the save button so the file he has been working on for the past hour doesn’t get lost, forcing him to start all over again. “My ex-girlfriend invited me to her wedding.”
Marc blinks at him, all big eyes and undisrupted faith in humanity. “That’s nice of her. When’s the wedding?”
Valentino sighs heavily; nice wouldn’t really be his word of choice. “You don’t get it,” he says, wondering whether he should tell Marc why he isn’t exactly thrilled about the prospect. “I haven’t dated anyone since her, I can’t show up there alone.”
“I can go with you,” Marc offers immediately after learning about the wedding date. “I have that weekend off, so I could be your date, if you want.”

Valentino still refused to acknowledge him in any remotely positive way. Trying to ignore him as much as possible, just to go on a podcast with so many words in his mouth, that cut Marc so deep, you could turn his insides out and not see a difference.

Until one lazy Sunday morning, Valentino actually answers.
14 hours later, Marc's in Tavullia on the back of a promise and a lifetime of want. As long as they don't talk, everything will be fine.
Only, Valentino really seems to want to talk.Two things are for sure: the Academy boys are likely scarred for life, and if Alex Marquez could roll his eyes any harder, we all know he would.

Someone growls and silence dawns upon the studio then. Lando must’ve heard it too because he looks up and suddenly Carlos is losing himself in the world that opens behind Lando’s eyes. He could stay there forever, except the director yells something and suddenly everyone is moving again.
Carlos doesn’t realize it was him who growled until he catches people looking at him, judgment clear in their eyes and he mentally swears. He hasn’t felt so ashamed in a long time. He’s an alpha that can control himself, something his parents taught him from a young age, and it’s extremely embarrassing to lose that control so fast.

Neckz 'n' Throatz is doing a driver special again. Lando's day is booked and contains a shoot with Max followed by one with Carlos. There's nothing that could happen.

Carlos laughed incredulously, looking at Lando over his shoulder. He reached for his wallet, sitting on top of their hotel room dresser. “Lando, I promise, when I’m back, we can do whatever you want.”
Lando watched him slip his keys into his pocket and started panicking.
