Written in response to a kink meme prompt: "Scotty/author's choice. - The introductory bit says "No need to wank over ships." Of course my brain took this to mean the Enterprise. Slightly bizarre request but want someone to find Scotty wanking in the engine room. No fetish for ship parts or anything, it's just where he feels most comfortable. He's all embarrassed but the one who finds him is very understanding. What happens next is author's choice."

Summary
He had gone through the whole attracted-also-to-men crisis in the years before, so even though he still hadn’t managed to tell Robin, or even find the courage to say the words to describe himself aloud, the attraction wasn’t a surprise. It had occurred to him when Jonathan had won over Nancy that while he was mostly jealous of Jonathan because he was pretty sure some part of him would always love Nancy, orbiting back to her at any given opportunity, sometimes he was jealous of Nancy, of the way she let Jonathan kiss her, his big hands resting on her face, and actually, in retrospect, the whole hand thing should have become apparent to him way earlier than it had.
All that to say, Steve was well aware he was attracted to Eddie and occasionally dreamt about sucking on Eddie’s fingers, but it didn’t have to mean anything, and moreover, couldn’t. The whole thing with El and the Upside Down derailed his life, but eventually he was going to get his shit back together and back on track, and he couldn’t be doing that and also bringing men home on the weekends.

The war was going full swing; on the beach there were the leftovers, the women and boys and girls, and the oldest Franchitti kids who hadn’t shipped overseas, Geno and Cecilia, first cousins. Frank hadn’t noticed ’em at first, either of ’em, the tall and lanky boy and girl with skin like gold and eyelashes like fringed velvet burlesque fans, physical traits the magazines said you could shell out for but the Franchitti kids had ’em in spades all natural; but once he had he couldn’t stop noticin'.
