(Dick Grayson is just relieved that Slade seems to have developed some sort of moral compass and Yassen is enjoying being able to finish a job without Alex’s explosive involvement.)

Alex is six when Ian comes home bloody and bruised and grim to accept the resignation of another harried housekeeper. He's fourteen when the police show up at three in the morning to tell him Ian is dead. He's fourteen when an internationally wanted assassin shows up on his doorstep with his uncle's will to turn everything he thinks he knows about Ian on its head. Everything after that should seem significantly less surprising. It really isn't.
In which Alan Blunt plays his hand far too early, Ian Rider makes a secret contingency plan, Yassen Gregorovitch gets strong armed into parenting Hunter's son, and Alex just wants his life to make sense again.

Summary
For the 75th Hunger Games, President Snow's clever little twist is that two tributes can win, provided that they have entered an alliance with each other from the feast on. District 4's female tribute, Summer Hayes, sees the new rule as another nail in her coffin, knowing that there's no way the Career Pack will keep her alive for that long. Not after what her famously victorious (and then dead) older sister accomplished in the games four years ago. District 2's bloodthirsty male tribute, Cato Acosta, isn't intending to bring anyone out of the arena with him. Neither one of them pay much attention to the one thing that will tie their fates together. Not until the aftermath of their brutal and bloody battle for survival.
An AU where Katniss and most of the cast of The Hunger Games are two years younger, so the book's events are delayed until the 77th Annual Hunger Games.

Summary
After she accidentally trips into Adrien and apologizes about "falling for him," Marinette learns that he's no match for cheesy pick-up lines--whether they were unintended or not. And while she finds it flattering that he turns into a flustered mess with only a few words, Marinette comes to regret making him uncomfortable. That is, until she learns he's Chat Noir. At which point the phrase "just deserts" becomes a permanent fixture in her everyday plans.
A story in which Adrien is flustered, Marinette is smooth as glass at dropping lines, and Chat Noir gets the romance he was always asking for--even if he doesn't quite know how to handle it.
