July 29th, Kasamatsu Yukio's birthday, should have been a happy occasion. Should have been.
Now, it's looking like it'll be a birthday he'll never forget, for all the wrong reasons - because the man he's been in love with since they were both teenagers is in the hospital, and there's a very good chance he won't be coming home again.
Kise always did love to surround himself with friends. It took Yukio longer than he would like to admit to realise that Kise’s need for attention was a byproduct of his upbringing, and not - as he had first assumed - due to some sort of shallow desire for popularity. That he held close only those he could trust, that he had been hurt - badly - far too many times to make that mistake again.
Yukio was part of that inner circle, and he had taken it for granted.

Still, things can't get much worse...right?
Hizashi took a moment to size up his opponents, moving up and a little further away from the train; he didn’t recognise any of them. Not the league of villains, then - or new recruits if they were. Four in total - a woman with dark red skin and claws that extended almost to her feet, a man in a leather jacket and jeans with a shock of green hair, another woman wearing a smart suit who could have been mistaken for just another commuter if not for the scar that bisected her face and a great brute of a - Hizashi didn’t want to guess, actually, they looked like a Nomu if not for the intelligence shining in those massive eyes. All four turned to look at him, fixing their attention on the hero in their midst with a mix of amusement and malicious glee.

It's an easy enough mission, which is the only reason why Red Riot and Suneater are sent alone - take down the very minor group of very weak bad guys and report back to base.
Why are things never that simple?
“Well well, fancy seeing you here.” The drawl was only vaguely familiar, but it was enough to send needles of ice up Eijirou’s spine. The flame, the voice, the scars and those blue, blue eyes - it was all too familiar and Eijirou put a little more distance between himself and the villain leering at him from the entrance to one of the warehouses.
“Dabi.” He spat the word, and Dabi’s grin only widened, pleased at the displeasure evident in Eijirou’s tone.

Summary
Sam's wife Jess dies in a tragic accident, leaving him and their autistic daughter Leigh heartbroken. After living with Sam's brother for a year, Sam decides to get a fresh start in his life and start moving on from the terrible loss. He moves into an apartment in the heart of the city that only has one real blessing about it: the bakery across the street. The coffee there is the best Sam's ever tasted and the pastries are absolutely to die for. Best of all, it's owned by two brothers, Gabriel and Castiel Novak, and Leigh is immediately smitten with them. The brothers are equally taken by her and they soon become Sam's closest friends. They help him raise Leigh and, at the same time, get his life back on track. Along the way, Sam finds himself drawn particularly to Gabriel, who's crude, loud, obnoxious, and nothing like what he's usually attracted to.

Most people never got to learn exactly what their mind is worth, how resistant it is. Lance knew now, and the answer was ten days. It only took ten days for something in him to break that he wasn't sure he could get back.
Shiro had survived a year and come out as someone still able to smile, to be kind and gentle with those around him. Scarred, but not shattered.
Lance wore no new scars. But he still hadn't made it ten days.

They stood face to face in the middle of a clearing. The dim light of the moon barely allowed Sherlock to see the glassy terror in John’s eyes and the sweat that glistened off his forehead. His nose was bleeding again, blood dripping in a slow stream from his right nostril.
They were both gasping for air, John’s eyes locked on Sherlock’s. There was no recognition there, just wild animal fear.
Time stood still for an eternal few seconds, and Sherlock took a shaky breath. “John—”
Spell broken, John spun and bolted back into the woods.
Still heaving for air, Sherlock took off after him.

Summary
Sherlock made a deal with the devil, quite literally. After years of drug abuse and neglect his body wouldn’t let him go on. Obviously, it happened right when he had finally found something to make his life interesting. The logical response was to offer his soul in exchange for a working transport. That had happened when he was 27. Now, at 34, he gets an unexpected visitor. The devil needs a favour and is offering Sherlock’s soul as payment.
