Summary
Ever wonder what happened to the fighting dog Frank rescued in Daredevil season two? Me too, so I wrote a story about it.
“No, Pluto. That’s enough,” the hundred-pound mass of gray fur relented, sitting down heavily on the man’s feet but absolutely vibrating with anticipation, staring up at Frank with big, shining dog eyes. He whined and yowled, front paw reaching for Frank, clawing at the space between them.
Grimacing, the man laid his hand on Pluto’s big square head. “I’m really sorry, he’s not aggressive, I promise, he’s a rescue and he’s come so far in his training,” The stranger was in his late twenties, with dark hair, brown eyes, and a sheepish grin. Though he had the posture of a New Yorker, his apology stank of the Midwest.
“I know,” Frank said, swallowing hard, relented to the dog’s pleas, and squatted down. “I was the one that rescued him.” -

The diner was found by accident. The rain was impossible and freezing, roaring down from the sky in sideways sheets that turned the asphalt into a strip of Teflon. It was dangerous conditions for a car, let alone a motorcycle.

He wasn't sure when it had started, whatever this feeling was, the one that he got in his chest whenever Juice looked at him or touched him because he was a tactile man, always standing too close or bumping shoulders, throwing an arm around his neck. It had probably been around longer than Chibs would care to admit, certainly long enough time to grow roots that had tangled into his ribs and bloomed in the spots that had been empty for years.

„Don‘t be“, Foggy tells him breezily. „You‘re here, you‘re safe, I slept better than I have in weeks knowing that you‘re not bleeding to death in an alley somewhere, and I got a good cuddle out of it. Not how I imagined getting you naked in my bed, but I‘ll take it.“
It‘s a joke.
Of course it‘s a joke, Matt knows that. He should just gloss over it, laugh it off, maybe come up with a quippy, slightly flirty reply that gives both of them plausible deniability. The same they‘ve always done.

Summary

Incredibly awkward and not ready to mingle Castiel finds himself in a bit of a pickle when his boss threatens to set him up with a relative, and Castiel's knee-jerk reaction is lying his way out of it. When the lie spreads like a high school rumour, Castiel finds it difficult to backtrack, but thankfully his sister, Anna, comes to his rescue with some sound advice.
Hiring an escort to pretend to be your boyfriend might sound like the most expensive way to get out of a blind date, but Castiel discovers that it is the most emotional, confusing and rewarding way as well.
