Summary
Sanson had long since told Guydelot that he was welcome to read the man’s journal, as long as he put it back in the right place. It was one of the few things Guydelot held seriously. No one else got to see the scrambled notes of that brilliant mind and the opportunity to leave little messages of his own. The pages had been filling up quicker since Guydelot encouraged him to jot down every thought he had, determined to still make a bard of him yet.
Sitting here, while Sanson lay unconscious and teetering on the brink of death, Guydelot could only stare at the book.
The exterior was coated in ash. The creak of the spine meant Sanson had to be writing out on the battlefield while he was trapped and alone. The thought of whatever could be in there made him sick.

In that Interrogation Room, Akechi expects the dimmed lighting and frigid temperature. He expects the guard at the door, the empty corridors, even Sae Nijima, who he never ended up seeing at all in that underground chamber- he planned for it all.
What he didn't plan for, was finding Akira Kurusu beaten and broken in the corner of the room, barely within coherency.
This certainly made his plan somewhat more difficult to execute- but he refused to let that stop him.

Summary
When Ann realizes their math teacher has spotted Akira nodding off in the desk behind hers, she braces herself for what's about to follow. Sure enough, the chalk flies past her and hits Akira smack in the forehead, knocks him awake, and sends a flurry of horrible nightmare syllables tumbling out of his mouth from the sheer surprise.
The language of Shadows sounds sharp and strange in the mundane banality of the classroom. Ann schools her expression, and does her best to project an air of nope, nothing's wrong, nothing to see here, there's definitely no one speaking in horrible eldritch tongues, why would you even say that?

It's too bad it makes him sound like he's speaking in some kind of cursed, inhuman, monster tongue, but the rest of the Phantom Thieves get used to it.

"Not a word about what?" Marinette's voice calls out, and Adrien's swinging upright and twisting eagerly towards the window before she's even halfway through that sentence.
"Nino's picking on me," Adrien explains, climbing to one knee but not getting any further before Marinette is dropping down beside him with a sigh anyway. She immediately leans against him and lets him duck down and rub his cheek against her hair, which he knows means he's purring again and loudly at that, but it's so worth it.

Summary
Alisaie and Alphinaud were many things; prodigies, son and daughter of a prestigious Sharlayan forum member, and Scions of the Seventh Dawn. They have both been star pupil of the Studium and have aided the salvation of the First star and (hopefully) Eorzea. But what most people forget is simple - they're also just barely adults. Most of their lives have been crafted for them, and only after long-standing rebellion as well as desire and desperation to prove themselves were they liberated to create their own path forwards.
They may have had their lives created on a chosen path, but they would prove their right to independent thought and action -- with the name Leveilleur or not.

The collars they wore, the glares they got; it felt as if they were treated more like dogs than humans. Disgust coiled in Alisaie’s gut as they went about talking to the civilians trapped in Tertium, and her frustrations that they wouldn’t let them help only grew as the citizens did all but spit in their face.

Alisaie and Alphinaud are taken prisoner in Garlemald, electric collars on their neck to make sure the Warrior of Light doesn't act out. Alisaie... doesn't like it much. And neither does Alphinaud, though his injuries don't make the situation better.
