It’s that time of year again where pro heroes must renew their hero licenses. And in an effort to have pro heroes fight smarter and not harder (due to complaints from city officials about rising numbers of property damage), the pro hero licensing board adds a new section to the exam—opponent quirk analysis. Apparently, Ground Zero didn’t get the memo. So until he can retake the written exam, Ground Zero is grounded for the time being, and number 2 hero Celsius takes it upon himself to hire Bakugou a tutor—a shy librarian who is the number 1 quirk analyst in the country. Little does he know that he and Katsuki Bakugou are already well acquainted.

(Or: Katsuki Bakugou is one of the most popular models in Japan. To prevent their industry from getting into trouble with the media, he has to come up with an idea on how to convince management to let him be one of the main characters in a couple’s photoshoot project. Since it would be pretty unconvincing to say that he’d be alright posing with a fake partner, why not bring in his actual boyfriend?)

When Katsuki Bakugou sees someone shattering a storefront window in the middle of the night, it's a valid assumption that said person is a villain. Instead, he meets a nerd with an unhealthy obsession with books, All Might, and apparently getting accidentally injured.

Bakugou of the Demolition Squad is famous for running one of the most popular Youtube channels on the web that regularly blow shit up and jumped off a perfectly good building for shit and giggles. He's also famous for his Cryptid BF™, never appearing on camera except for a few bodyshots and all information on him is kept locked up tighter than Fort Knox, therefore drawing all sort of attention and curiosity toward his mysterious boyfriend.
Deku from Deku Explains is a hopeless chatterbox who is known for uploading 20-30 minutes video that talked about his favorite shows and comics and have one of the most devoted following on Youtube. He also can't seem to shut up about his boyfriend Kacchan, who regularly make his presence on the channel as a disembodied voice.
They should theoretically have nothing in common except a shared platform to host their content and an army of fans with an endless curiosity and devotion to their Youtubers. Vidcon is where we lay our scene and the internet is about to get a rude wake up call.

Being a pro-hero is being in the spotlight. It's saving lives and punching bad guys. It's late night talk shows and game show panels and magazine photo shoots. It's working odd hours and never getting enough sleep but still being proud to be a hero.
Being a pro-hero is also being in the shadows. Being discreet and secretive, always cautious, because anyone, anything, could be lurking. It's never seeing your partner and working through date night. It's missing anniversaries and international team ups that take you far from home for weeks at a time. It's long distance phone calls at three am, because you miss their voice and you want nothing more than to say "Fuck it" and leave the hero life behind.
No one told Izuku it would be this hard.
