Summary
Spencer knew going into college that he would have to hide his mutant status, but he finally felt like he could trust his friend with his secret after years of knowing him. He knows it's a mistake when he doesn't take it very well, but he never thought it would land him in a cell.
This is my ten year anniversary of posting my first fic on Ao3 so I wanted to put something up for it! It'll be ten chapters long, and I plan on finishing it completely tomorrow so I can post a chapter per day. This is something I've been wanting to write for a while, it's going to replace Can't Have It All in the series. This is what I wanted that one to be and I feel like it fits better in the series with the little changes I made to the backstory and plot in recent years.

Summary
My take on the episode The Popular Kids in season 1, the one where the small town thinks a satanic cult is killing people, if Spencer was a mutant. Only Gideon, the one who recruited him, knows. He was thinking about confessing his status to Morgan, but the whole business of him telling their bosses about his nightmares has him rethinking who exactly he can trust.
The first chapter is an honest rewrite, not too much divergence from the canon. Mostly missing scenes and Spencer's inner monologue. I haven't decided if I want to make the subsequent chapter(s) rewrites too or not.

When bodies are cropping up with a mysterious mark on them, as well as a card calling out somebody he loves, how much will Spencer reveal in order to keep his family safe?
This started out as a re-write of the season 2 episode "Jones", but got away from me pretty quickly. I just wanted an excuse to set the case in New Orleans and mostly followed the structure of the episode. I put the archive warning there for the violence but it doesn't go past some basic descriptions of injury or death, far less than the show has. The violence is also the reason for the M rating.

Summary
Basically I like the premise of the episode where Reid is just convinced his dad murdered a child, but I think it's ridiculous that the BAU spent their resources on following that lead. A lot of important stuff happens in that episode but it's surrounded by things that just make no sense. So I attempted to fix it by throwing Logan in there!
I had this in my Logan and Spencer Chronicles series, but with the way I have it going it just doesn't fit anymore. It's still a good story and shares the major themes of it, but I took it out to open my doors a bit more
