Sun Yat-sen, the founder of the Kuomintang, has consolidated his power a year after the formation of the United Front with the Communist Party of China in collaboration with the Soviet Union.

This combination of Communist aid and pragmatic alliances with other militarists is formidable enough to fight the Beiyang, Zhili, and Fengtian cliques, but it is also likely to be paralyzed by internal gridlock and inter-party warring.

Mother spiders are incredibly devoted to their offspring, but for many reasons are not particularly well known for parental care. They especially aren't known to care about the wellbeing of children other than their own.
Yet here Ryōshū is, teaching a fledgling fallen from the Nest how to stay alive anyway.
Or: In one particular Mirror World, a Ryōshū at the end of the line chances upon a recently orphaned Sinclair, and decides adoption -so informal she doesn't have to think about why she's doing this- makes for a fantastic distraction from her problems.
(Sinclair would probably even agree to it if he had a single clue what was going on)
