Julian rolled his eyes as he read the line in his book. Immortals don’t care. He knew that first hand from his brother. Legend—Dante never truly loved him. Julian loved his older brother with everything he had, his entire heart, but it wasn’t enough.
No matter how hard he tried, Legend stayed immortal, and Julian stayed ignored.
His brother didn’t care about him, he watched as Julian fought for him with every dying breath, then walked past his crumpled form when he finally collapsed.
Julian tried to hate him, he really did, but he couldn’t. Legend had sacrificed everything for him. He kept them alive despite the cruel world.
Then Scarlett came. Julian had never met someone who loved so hard, so much. He was drawn to the girl immediately.
