Summary
A mission gone wrong throws Snake into a temporal distortion that gives him another shot at getting it right, but there are more dangers lurking around every corner than he'd initially thought. With Otacon on the outside of the distortion and thus unaware that it's happening, Snake finds himself on his own when it comes to solving it and putting things back to normal—unless he can convince Otacon of what's happening and, more importantly, to help him through every iteration even when it means sending him into the same perilous mission over and over again.

Summary
Snake used to say: "I'm blue collar, you're white collar." It was a half-joke that marked an easy divide in their roles, between the physical and the technical.
Otacon can't really agree, not when his white collar is so often stained with his partner's blood. It's hands-on work he could never have anticipated, but someone's gotta do it.
If only he wasn't so squeamish.

Megatronus is a miner, just trying to keep his numbers up, and his helm down. This becomes more difficult when he befriends Orion Pax– fellow miner, and self-described anti-functionalism-pacifist. Nobody could guess that their meeting would spiral into the most brutal and long-standing conflict in Cybertronian history.

Summary
Megatron, new to leadership, anticipated betrayal from those above him, rejecting any leadership in all its forms save his own. He had not yet learned to anticipate betrayal from those beneath him.
Optimus found his former friend, looking as he did when they were miners, cog ripped from his chassis and empty once more.
As Optimus hides Megatron away while he heals, they both struggle to face the limits of strength, the burdens of leadership, their roles in the new age of Cybertron, a shared past that still draws them towards one another, the circumstances that forced them apart - and a somewhat inconvenient difference in size.

Summary
Wolfwood’s left hand grabs both of Vash’s wrists and shoves them up and over his head. This is too easy. There’s no sign of struggle or strain in his lithe muscles. Certainly, there’s more fight and power he can dole out. Vash is refusing and Wolfwood can’t figure out why.
“You wanted to be caught,” he sneers and trails a hand down Vash’s torso. “What else do you want?”
“I’ve never wanted a thing,” Vash says, though Wolfwood doesn’t miss the hitch in his breath.
“That so?”
Wolfwood slips his fingertips beneath the waist of Vash’s pants, using the leverage to pull his hips forward. Now flush together, he deftly works at unbuttoning them and sliding the zipper down. His other hand squeezes against pale wrists, wishing there was a pulse on the flesh one to feel jump at the contact.
“Yes,” Vash sighs. Wolfwood smirks knowing the response is to far more than just his question.
