Summary
The High Council calls for order in a Functionalist society. The Decepticons call for freedom, to rip at the chains binding them. And caught between them is Optimus Prime, burdened with the Matrix of Leadership and the fate of Cybertron itself.
His commands are flawless. His strategies are unmatched by all but Megatron, his former friend. But as the war progresses, doubt spreads among his Autobots, and even to the Decepticons. Not of his leadership, but of the cause he serves.
For if Optimus Prime is the greatest of them, why does he seem so certain of the Council’s will?

Summary
Megatron's formative vorns are defined by suffering, toiling, and loss, which shape his future and the mech he grows into. But at no point does he capitulate; all he needs to keep him sane, at the end of the joor, is Optimus—whether that be the kind and considerate comms he does not feel worthy of receiving, or the prayers he sends to the Prime whilst kneeling before his shrine.
But with Optimus heading a senate that only installed him as a compromise, threatened by assassination from above and revolution from below, he's going to need more than prayers. He's going to need actions: of thousands of mecha, of millions—this status quo is unsustainable, and the tension on Cybertron is about to erupt.
From the ashes will rise a new golden age, and Optimus's Lord High Protector.
“O Prima; o Primus,” Megatron whispered before his shrine. “Something big is coming, and I don’t know what it is.”

As the doors opened, a puddle of Energon trickled forward. Orion’s optics landed on Jazz, who was gripping a senator by his neck with one servo, blade in another. “Fancy seeing you here OP.”
“Jazz, please you don’t have to do this.”
Raspy pleading erupted from the senator in Jazz's hold. Jazz stared directly into Orion’s optics, stabbing the blade into the spark chamber.
“That’s the thing OP. Someone’s gotta.”

Honestly… I wanted to do an exploration of Cybertronian culture (the language and city states) alongside… inserting good Megatron into a romantic buddy-cop comedy. These are one shots that have an overarching story to them and, thus, are at various times pre-war, during the war, post-war on Earth, and post-war on Cybertron. I got the idea randomly on a bike ride while thinking abt the fact that most Praxian mecha in the IDW comics have a similar build and are used for either espionage or data analysis…basically any activity requiring finesse. So I thought hm… what would a Praxian wrecker look like? And I came up with this story. The reason I use Earthspark is because it offers the most freedom in world building and character creation. I’ll try not to make this corny.

The young and somewhat naive Hot Rod is a member of the Lower social status and finds himself in a peculiar situation:
he is Primus's new chosen as Rodimus Prime when the Matrix comes to him and makes itself home inside of him, now having to deal with a Corrupt Government, the Functionist Council secretly running the strings, and more in an attempt to help Cybertron and her people.(No smut or weird features for the transformers that aren't there, the story is a mixture of IDW1 and IDW2 with a few elements of the aligned continuity and a few things I added).

Unfortunately, he remembered exactly what happened to lead him to this position. No lucky stasis memory lapse for him.

Jazz looked up and could see…a blue and white mech, accents of grey and black, standing at attention. Like he was used to the strict protocol or was trying to look firmer than he sounded. Something about him felt…off. Familiar in a ‘like meets like’ way and yet not like at all. Behind him a few feet away was the shut door with a red light glaring over it and standing besides said closed door was another…mech? Nah. Not a mech. Something else. Ain’t no mech feel as dead as that one did. It just looked like one.

It was supposed to be a short conversation on the nightclub, the conversation becomes more tension as Proteus servos carefully takes a soft scanned around drunk Darkwing, he whistled in a flirtatious tone. It seems that these Maccadam's high-grade are really making Iacon bots drunks easily. A pair of hands snatched Darkwing's body, Proteus optics don't even need to met the mech. He lift up his high-grade energon and takes a sip.
