When exhausted and overwhelmed single parent Obi-wan Kenobi moves from the city to a rural village in the middle of nowhere for the sake of his...less than human charges, he's met with the immense task of getting the rundown cabin he bought with the last of his savings livable in time for winter. Shame he's never picked up a hammer before in his life.
Meanwhile, studious yet wary Cody Fett, the leader of a local pack who've run the farm to the south of the village for five years, can't seem to stand by and watch the new stranger suffer alone.
It probably helps that he's gorgeous.

Summary
Strapping the goggles and mask on, he gave the all-clear and hopped into the water. It was practically frothing with bubbles, and if the situation were less serious he might have made a joke about Finding Nemo and a bubble volcano, but as it stood he could barely see a thing and his anxiety was sky high.
Studying mers for upwards of a decade had given him a healthy respect for how dangerous they were when humans threatened their territory, let alone when they were brooding with a grudge. He wanted what was best for Big Red, and he was absolutely certain that Red did not know that yet. He’d feel a lot better about all this if they could actually see the mer, but with how frothy the water was, Tim could barely see two feet in front of him.
He had a desperate, fleeting hope that he wasn't about to be murdered, but the shifting shadows around him weren't very promising.

Summary
Bruce didn't hate humans, he didn't exactly like them either. They took away his parents, but they also gave him Alfred. They took this pup's parents, and now it was Bruce's turn. They were not even close to similar mers, but they were united by their trauma, and a tank.
Or, I love gen mer fics and can't find enough with Bruce and Alfred also being mers so here I am. Clark and the rest of the JL are acting as the humans here to take care of them, but Bruce and Alfred are the real MVPs because they're idiots who don't understand how mers work. This one is short, but its 100% self-indulgent. And yes I have an idea for every bat child. They'll get their own stories. If I feel particularly inspired I'll add to one or another.

As a kid, Duke rarely ever got sick.
It was actually something of a running joke amongst his friends and classmates. They’d all be out at least a few times a year for the standard assortment of head colds and ear infections and stomach bugs, while Duke would spend three straight days getting coughed on by his lab partner and still finish off the semester with perfect attendance. He managed to dodge class-wide outbreaks of chickenpox, pink eye, and head lice. Once in fourth grade, he’d skinned both his knees playing freeze tag during recess, then had to explain to the baffled nurse who’d cleaned the blood off and applied Transformers bandaids that, no, he wasn’t new to the district, he’d actually been at that school since kindergarten, and yes, it was very nice to finally meet her.
Of course, the flip side to rarely ever falling ill is that whenever something does slip past his body’s defenses, he feels woefully unprepared...

Objectively, this time isn’t even that bad. The bullet really only grazed his side. The mark it left is long and gnarly, and he’s sure it’s going to bruise like a bitch tomorrow, but the actual damage to his flesh is pretty superficial. A saline wash, a quick row of stitches, a sterile dressing, and a couple painkillers, and he should be good to go.
…Which is why Dick neglects to mention this extremely minor injury during his usual post-patrol check-in with Agent A.
