“Grian.. I-I have bad news, my mom said we’re moving to another state,” Scar admitted, breaking the comfortable silence that had stretched between them.
“What.” Grian's head snaps up from the book he was reading. There's no way this wasn't a prank. There was no way he was going to lose his best friend, not afte everything he's been through with him.
“My mom got a better job, it’s going to help us a lot, it’s just… in another state,” Scar confirms his worries, he is leaving him.
“W-What state?” Grian's in disbelief, he doesn't have any other friends, what is he meant to do?
“Florida.” Scar mumbles. It’s not like Scar wants to leave Grian! That's his best friend!
“When are you leaving?” Grian questions, ignoring Scar.
“I have a week.”

Summary
Scott held a hand over his mouth, doing his best to hide the highly unprofessional laughter that he couldn’t fully stop. He was trying to hold it together, but it was difficult when he was watching half the meeting hall lose their minds while his boyfriend was completely oblivious, rocking on his heels as he and Lizzie communicated with the whistles and fin wiggles which made up oceanic language. Sausage looked like he was going to explode if he got any more flustered, fWhip was staring and completely ignoring Gem who was trying to talk to him, even Pix - normally calm and collected at all times - looked like he had just swallowed his tongue.
Scott did not understand how Jimmy didn’t see it. It was just as well he wasn’t in love with the man for his observation skills.
