It would be an impressive fight, no doubt. Osha isn’t under the delusion that she could take Qimir in a hand to hand fight, but she has an advantage to exploit — their old sordid history. Her uncle, on the other hand, if he fully committed to the act, he could probably kill Qimir. But three times out of five, Osha suspects Qimir would come out on top.
Strange thing to think upon seeing her ex-fiancé after six years, but it lingers in her mind just from the way he moves through the church. Muscles coiled tight with tension, poised and ready to strike. He’s the next leader of the Rwoh crime syndicate for a reason. Summary
A series of short ficlets from an AU called the American Empire AU, focusing primarily around the relationship of Emperor Homelander and his reluctant husband Hughie Campbell.
In a world where Vought fucked up and, instead of controlling the birthrate of supes, accidentally caused all births on the continent of North America to result in a supe child. Many things change but some things don't. The United States becomes a feared nation filled with supers as global tensions rise as America itself is socially and politically torn asunder from within due to the unpredictable nature of the majority of its population having powers. Rising to the top of all this is Homelander, who uses his unrivaled abilities and religious zealotry to wrest control of the US, uniting the broken nation and crowning himself Emperor. Then he turned their newfound unity onto the rest of the world, subjugating one country after another as all the rest scamble to defend themselves against this superpowered nation.
Amidst all this is the strange relationship between Hughie Campbell, an ordinary American with the power to control water, and Emperor Homelander. The former straining to right a wrong world and the latter refusing to let him go.

After being outed to his parents and hunted down by an officially-lost-it Vlad, Danny finds himself down one home, two parents (who had gone full blown Hunter on him), a stable life and education, and a lot of blood.
The only thing he had going for him was that the weird British guy he'd landed in front of seemed nice. Maybe he wouldn't turn him over to the Hunters.
Meanwhile, Alfred just found a meta clone of Young Master Damian bleeding out in the Foyer, and is definitely Not Freaking Out.

Summary
Erik did not make a habit of cataloging all of Namor’s expressions. From what he’d seen, the man’s emotive inventory ran from polite stoicism to angry stoicism with little variation in between. The only time he seemed to be feeling otherwise was when he spent time with Shuri. And even then, he was guarded. (Though, Erik thought, his body language was fluent in tongues his mouth was not.)
However, Erik had never seen this expression before.
If Erik had to be nice about it, he would say that Namor was looking at Shuri as though she’d hung the stars in the sky.
But, Erik was not nice, so he thought that Namor looked rather dumb. The man appeared slack-jawed, with a face that suggested he’d recently been electrocuted.

As punishment for his past indiscretions—murder, unlawful trespass, giving Shuri terrible life advice—Erik has been reincarnated into a cat. However, he won’t let this injustice stand and chooses to take his anger out on Shuri, who is in the midst of alliance negotiations (and maybe a little more) with Namor.

A memory of flames licking at the pillars of the throne room on the ancestral plane, N’Jadaka’s mouth curled in a mocking sneer, filled Shuri’s memory. Fire and earth. “You were happy to die at my hands,” she echoed, the skin on her arms pebbling as a shiver ran through her.
“Yes. But I only wished for one thing, and I had not gotten it before my death. So I was glad you showed mercy in the end.”
“And what did you wish for?” Shuri asked, advancing on him from the bed. “Your people swimming up the river to break Wakanda’s borders? An empire of blood against all other nations in the world?”
“I wished,” said Namor very quietly, watching her and not moving, “to hear you say my name.”

Shuri, who has given up the throne of Wakanda, has a lot of time to think in Haiti about the future of Wakanda. Fortunately, someone else is more than happy to offer some assistance, but when new developments arise, she and Namor of Talokan must forge a tentative alliance while navigating a more treacherous sea than either of them expected.

“You do understand,” she said, a cattiness in her tone that she couldn’t help but keep. “You have planned for me to meet you here because you cannot bear your defeat. Your people scorn you for it, or at least some of them do. Rather than face them, you come to me.”
His grip tightened on her arm, and she held firm. He was taller than her, but not by much. Shuri had been lean and willowy even as a child, as a young woman, she’d grown strong. Though her experience was limited she knew well enough from her younger fumblings, just how to tilt her head to drive him mad.
“Am I the only woman who would have you?” she breathed.
“You–” he started, and took one step forward. His hand was at her back, cupping the fabric of her dress against her skin. Then with his other hand, he grabbed the point of her chin to keep her looking up, right at him, where anger and desire warred plainly in his eyes.
“You are the woman I want.”
