For a brief, beautiful moment, Mizuki was alone on the rooftop. The sun had dipped to kiss the horizon, drenching everything in a beautiful golden haze. The sky was warm with pinks and reds and oranges, and Mizuki thought about how Ena could capture the scene with her paints in a way that put her phone’s camera to shame. Her chest ached a little at the thought, but she squared her shoulders. She was done running away.
