Legolas is rescued from the Sea after several months lost, and Ithildim has requested Gimli put him back together... Legolas, however, is not entirely forthcoming with his experiences; Elladan is not entirely skilled in working with wood-elves; Ithildim struggles to understand this version of Legolas who has become so frustrating to love; and Gimli finds that, for all his dwarven endurance, he does in fact have finite patience. Furthermore, it is revealed that Legolas met someone at the shore with a history as tangled as the threads of his own mind, and this will shake the foundation of each of their relationships.

Legolas brings three important things with him to Valinor: a dwarf, news of Aragorn and Arwen's passing, and the knowledge that his father is staying behind. However, on the day Legolas delivers news of Arwen to Elrond's family, he and Elrohir begin to fall in love, bit by bit, and—over the centuries—they settle into the kind of unacknowledged romance that grows in the little domestic moments in between. Still, Aman cannot stop the passage of time, and elves are struck by grief wherever they walk. Elrohir and Legolas must work their way through Gimli's passing to finally reach the lightness of the other side, but they may need a little unexpected help to get there. Even in Eternity time marches on, and things may yet come full circle.

Summary
Legolas is mildly injured during the battle at Pelennor fields, but as the next day progresses things are not what they seem. Exhaustion and relief get the better of him, and the very aspects of his elvishness that protected him from poison at the outset may very well be those things that threaten his life in the end.
His guard was down and his mind was wandering for the first time since the battle, and his body suddenly found it could no longer defend itself without the stolid will of a stubborn elven mind.
Had he been fully awake, Legolas might have recognized the symptoms of a poisoned wound long delayed, but, had he been awake, his mind might also have held the poison unknowingly at bay past the point it would have endangered him at all…
And, so, Legolas drifted deeply while his body's hurts unfurled and the wind picked up around him.

After the War, there are more orphans than Gondor anticipated. Aragorn deals with the requests of his citizens, Legolas is shocked by the need for it, and a group of adults--mortal and immortal alike--come together to help a tiny child. /A "slice of life" from Aragorn's first year of Kingship, right after Legolas has brought his kin to Ithilien / One-shot.
Legolas stood, unsure, for a moment, before walking toward Aragorn, who was slumped now in his chair with one hand over his face and the other on the back of the child.
"I assumed you did not mean for me to leave, too," Legolas said quietly as he approached.
Aragorn did not answer until he sensed Legolas was close, and then he rubbed his eyes in frustration and answered calmly: "Never, Legolas. I want you here."
"I thought so," Legolas said as he crouched in front of Aragorn and placed a hand on his knee.
They were silent for a few moments, but Aragorn could feel Legolas' energy building as he waited for Aragorn to speak.
