Summary
In early 2024, Newt Scamander is injured during a conservation project in Burkina Faso. As usual, he gets better, but then… he doesn't. Meanwhile, Tina Goldstein is head of the auror office within the UK’s Department of International Magical Cooperation. Her sister and Jacob have just moved to London; and she and Newt are meant to be married in a matter of weeks.
When Newt’s routine checkup suddenly turns concerning, the news comes hurtling at a speed they aren't prepared for... It turns out wizards aren’t impervious to everything; and now Newt and Tina are stuck between a wedding and a timeline that's determined to change their lives.

Summary
Newt had woken up in an extraordinary number of incredibly strange places in his life, but—for him—coming to on top of a hay bale in the back of a Muggle lorry was really maybe the strangest.
It’s Christmas Eve and the first night of Hanukkah when Newt and Tina are injured in an action against Grindelwald, whereafter they are evacuated with Theseus & co. by the Magical Resistance to a small church in rural France. Dealing with curse-exhaustion, landmine injuries, and travel through Nazi- and Grindelwald-occupied regions isn’t how either of them expected to spend the holidays, but—in the big scheme of things—there were, arguably, worse ways to finish 1940… In the end, the experience brings them closer together and—back in England—holidays with their families give them paradoxical hope for shared peace in the years to come.

Summary
In 1897, Theseus becomes an older brother, and his little brother Newt is perfectly normal… Until he's not. Over the years, Theseus thinks their parents are only doing what is best for Newt until--he decides over the course of a few holidays at home--they actually, very much, definitively aren't.
This story largely follows Theseus as an older brother, from holidays during his Fourth Year in 1902 (the year Newt's differences finally become undeniable) to part-way through World War I (1917). It paints a picture of how two such different brothers grew up together, fell apart together, and began--eventually--to finally find one another again.
All it took was getting older.

A series covering Newt and Tina’s life from 1933 through approximately 1948, with attention to their social identities within both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds during a horrifically trying time to be alive. (Includes missions and falling in love and Dumbledore shenanigans and hurt/comfort and children and questionable plot and drama.)
3 long fics planned, one short fic, with additional one-shots. Currently, one OS is fully edited and ready to post after WIHUOW concludes. The 1944 fic has jumped the gun so I'm posting both it and WIHUOW at the same time now. Sorry.

Theseus crouched on the grass. He took a rattling breath, each a consonant trapped between his teeth. From here, Newt could only see the crown of his head, the few silver hairs his brother did have glinting in the moonlight.
“Newton,” and Theseus sounded as though he were drowning. “Listen. If they follow us out, there’ll be nothing I can do. It’s only the distance that’s made it more bearable. You have to go home.”
or:
Theseus has always known many of the eyes on him are waiting for him to fail. A family event that’s not what it seems proves him right. But the hardest part is Newt. Because Newt sees, and he stays, and that’s not what’s meant to happen.
