"Falling for that idiot? You must be severely sleep-deprived to reach that conclusion."
Despite Benn Beckman's cold warning, you are far too doomed to turn back now.
Falling for your captain was never the plan, but watching Shanks exist—messy hair, lazy hangovers, silly faces and all—made it impossible not to.
And now, you're completely screwed.

Summary
If you were to ask Buggy (which you really shouldn’t) which insecurities haunted him, there would be only two he would acknowledge, but only to himself and never out loud. The first was right in the center of his face: round, big, red—an open invitation for the world to laugh. The second, however, was his most guarded secret. He’d kept it completely hidden from everyone but Rayleigh, and it was inconceivable to Buggy to be asked to share it with someone else.

You died at the hands of a Sweet Commander after years of a loveless marriage in the Charlotte family.
Then you woke up in your bed and in the past, with one inexplicable chance to save your family and protect your kingdom from Big Mom's gluttony.
Of course, you took it. You just needed to properly break down first at the sight of your loved being alive instead of having been murdered at your wedding, then you all could start on planning.
Even if the plans did not go exactly quite as expected, since you ended up on the wrong Emperor's ship.

Summary
He held an empty bottle in his hand that he should put down. The radio was playing the same silly show Hongo usually had running in his office. The volume was set so low, Shanks strained to hear it, but sound echoed in the hollow halls of the Holy Land.
He remembered the password, only because it was the same drink he’s downing now. The line rang, he read the name off the bottle, and then he was live. Live. On Air. His crew might hear him now, wherever they were.
“I’m…uh…” He was nervous. Or drunk. Or both. “One of my crewmates, he listens to you a lot.”
“Oh, a sailor?”
“He’s a doctor, but I’m…I’m his Captain.”
“And you’re calling in for him? Is it his birthday?”
“No, I’m—” He needed to hang up. “—away right now, so I wanted…all of them…to know I was thinking of them and listening to this…to you, I mean.”
“A bridge is human ingenuity at its finest. Someone somewhere thought to make permeant the act of reaching out a hand. I’d be happy to be that bridge for you and your boys, Captain. We’ve got a few minutes left, so I’ll give you the floor.”

Summary
"Luo Binghe has a deep, nearly endless well of hatred and anxiety. It has been carved into his chest with jagged, tearing pulls of a dull knife over and over again. By the children of the manor his mother worked for, holding their scorn in grinning, gapped-toothed taunts and clenched fists. By his mother’s death, her absence choking him with too much grief to handle at such a young age. By the streets. By the starving dogs biting his shins and heels. By his reflection in their beady, sunken eyes. By the long, hungry trek up the mountain. By his Shizun. Delicate, scholarly hands carving and rending the pit deeper and wider. By his peers; mocking and belittling and beating.
Shen Yuan seems utterly dedicated; completely, totally devoted to slowly filling it.
Had Luo Binghe previously had a moment to sit and contemplate his life, he might have thought the anger too deeply rooted to ever let go. Even now, he doubts he’ll ever be without the scars from his hurt.
But Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan.
Shen Yuan is baffling in his existence. "OR:
