„ Relax, Prof." he murmured, his grin widening. „Just saying I notice things." He glanced deliberately at James' hands before his gaze flicked back up.
„Bet you do too."
For a moment, James didn't move. His shoulders stayed rigid, his expression carved from stone, but his eyes—those fucking eyes—burned. He exhaled slowly, the sound rough and controlled, and Dave felt it like a current crackling between them.
„You need to get your shit together." James said, finally standing, breaking the spell with one smooth, deliberate motion. „Before it's too late."

In which, Dave is a student at university. He used to be a good student, especially in history. Though that was before all the partying he started doing. James is his hot professor, and he doesn’t like that his favourite student is barley passing.

„Write me a letter." There was a slight chuckle after that, and that's how James knew he recognised the voice. In definitely. That had to be someone he knew.. not just a random with an accent.
Metallica is on tour again, but James is dealing with.. a mix of alcoholism and loneliness, longing for someone.
Megadeth doesn’t exist.. so, where’s Dave?
