Summary
Luo Binghe noticed that something was a bit off recent days. Despite all his efforts to make his husband happy, something was troubling him. Little time has passed since their wedding - not even three months yet - and they had been working hard all these days to resolve their issues, both finally accepting the importance of clear communication (not without Mu Qingfang's help). However, surprisingly, Shen Qingqiu grew more and more restless with each problem resolved.
It was unnerving, but Luo Binghe knew better than to overthink - his husband made it very clear for him how much he was loved, so Luo Binghe was sure it was not an issue. He also knew how thin Shen Qingqiu's face was, so he didn't even try to pry, patiently waiting for him to be ready.

Shen Qingqiu self-detonated at Hua Yue City, but he didn't die. Instead, he wakes up to a world where Cang Qiong is victorious and Luo Binghe has been imprisoned beneath the mountain. FUCK! Shen Qingqiu still couldn’t move but his mouth had mostly free reign. He bit his tongue hard enough to draw blood to stop the Qingqiu from coming out.
What the fuck. How was it that he almost confessed to his identity as Luo Binghe’s deceased scum shizun right in his face?!
or: the mushroom body's DNA is accidentally spliced with a wife-plot plant. Shen Qingqiu has to deal with this and try to survive being Luo Binghe's guest at Huan Hua Palace.

Shen Qingqiu crawls the rest of the way out of his planting ground. He gathers himself together enough to stagger his way to the spot he and Shang Qinghua had buried their supplies. He starts to dig again.
...Are his hands supposed to look like that?
He slows in his digging. Holds them to his face, taking in the near-black claws tipping each finger, the way the dark green bleeds up his fingers and over his palms and the backs of his hands until it fades out, blending back into a normal, pale skin tone just past his wrists.
That's...that's an unexpected side effect. He was supposed to look wholly human.

Summary
Luo Binghe did not win his place at Shen Yuan's side easily. It took countless tries - countless attempts at entering an iteration of Shen Yuan's world only to find that the 'Shen Yuan' there was destined to transmigrate into a world with a different 'Luo Binghe.'
This is fine, though, because Luo Binghe has finally managed to find a Shen Yuan of his own. He's managed to get close to him, even, to form a relationship so sticky sweet that it makes Luo Binghe want to carefully cut open his chest and place Shen Yuan inside so that they might press themselves so close to each other. What Luo Binghe witnessed in the past - the death and transmigration of so many 'Shen Yuans' - is fine.
And then his Shen Yuan catches a cold.
