Summary
Once upon a time, a lonely monster carrying a cruel curse wandered the forest. Like all monsters, it lived Outside, a great wood that surrounded the walled kingdom, Inside. Desiring a family, it one day spirits away a queen and a princess away from the Inside, stealing them from the despairing King.
In which Shiva isn't alone when Teacher finds her abandoned, and he ends up caring for a woman who looks chased, and a child who should not exist.
[Trying to write this in such a way even those unfamiliar with the fandom can enjoy it. Hopefully I'm successful?]

Author note from Jul. 5, 2025: for everybody wondering if I'll ever finish this, I want you guys to know that I have every intention of completing this story and actually have a lot of ideas I want to implement. I'm just in a bad living situation rn and am dealing with depression as a result, in addition to being stressed out all the time. Hopefully once things improve, I'll be able to work on this more.
Oct. 6, 2025: I'm working on editing existing chapters to make them more consistent and in-line with the tone I want for the broader story. Once I've finished with all the current chapters or am satisfied with the editing, I will (hopefully) resume work on the half-finished next chapter.
