It’s in every secret Bruce has ever kept, which are buried so deep within him, that he isn’t even certain he can dig them out, and doesn’t think that he wants to. It’s in every promise— whether gifted or given —because in the end every one of them is nothing but ash.
That’s okay, though, because Bruce can endure. He can endure, because he knows by now that love is enduring things, and waiting for his reward. Yes, Bruce can endure, because that’s what love is.

Oh, his kids, his Kids who began taking after Bruce in ways that broke [M/N]'s heart. Maybe they viewed him in a way like an object, that he will always be there and they're right. Now after another missed birthday, [M/N] began to hear and feel things. His family says he's asking for attention, that it's nothing.

Summary
Miraculous Ladybug is a show with fundamental issues and its canon origin for the characters does not escape from being problematic. So out of my disappointment, and with a sprinkle of inspiration, I rewrote the origin story into something I think would be more enticing as a show. And in the process of rewriting the origins, a new story enfolds entirely.
Titled "Bonds Beyond Fate" instead of "Ladybug," I wanted to highlight that the story is about more than just Marinette, but also about everyone involved in these fateful, tangled situations.
So, strap in! It's gonna be an interesting ride!
