Summary
The Kingdom of Halazia is blessed by the gods, for it’s art is remarkable, their faith strong, and order enforced with an iron glove. The kingdom was also the first of the Five Kingdoms to outlaw magic, designating it’s users as dangerous heretics who usurp the divine for their own gain.
When Seonghwa, a quiet flower seller with a soft heart saves two of the royal pack from a pickpocket, they bring him into the palace and into the life of Hongjoong, the king, who grows to love him, and a kingdom that would rather see him burn.
As affection evolves to courtship and coronations, the gossiping whispers become accusations. Seonghwa’s secret threatens to condemn him to the pyre, just as he finally finds a place to call home.I wrote this fic over the past year and it's fully complete! Summary
Suntrecho. A biblical term that in Hebrew means to run together. It can also mean to course together or travel, and in other translations stands for pushing two things so close together that they are a whole and no pieces can fall away.
For Keiji and Kōtarō, the day-after-day of life did seem to run together, not in a bad way necessarily, but the couple had fallen into their routine. Kōtarō had run head-first into his volleyball career, and Keiji was still ever adjusting to the chaotic schedule in the editing department. Was it hard? Sure, but the pair was happy.
They were a bonded pair, mated, in love from the moment they met. Nothing could ever break them apart.
But sometimes the universe isn't trying to test your bond, but set a new course for your lives together. The two of them may have been okay with one life change, but navigating two of them? It wasn’t going to be easy, but life never is. But something they were sure of: their love can conquer all.

“I was thinking pills,” Hongjoong says nonchalantly while Seonghwa unwraps his second sandwich. He can feel the paper is hot, the bread is hot, and the chicken is probably gonna be steaming once he takes the first bite. His mouth waters with anticipation, and he takes the first bite, a real mouthful, without acknowledging what Hongjoong said.
“Whoa this is so fucking good,” his eyes roll up for a moment and he melts in his chair, throwing his head back while he alternates between chewing and sucking in air to cool down the bite in his mouth. “Do you want a bite?”
“I wanna get this over with.” His voice carries a weight as if they had been sitting there for two hours stalling instead of barely ten minutes. That’s why Seonghwa likes this place, and likes ordering something to eat, and likes taking his time to eat it — this is not a conversation to be carried hastily.
There is no such thing as just getting it over with.

No, Yunho thought, this can’t be happening. Mingi had gotten hurt before, badly hurt even, but nothing that couldn’t be patched up with a few healing spells and some rest. Nothing that left their cleric’s face stricken with sadness as they looked directly at Yunho.
“Yunho,” Seonghwa said quietly, their brow furrowed in concern. “I need you to understand how serious this is. My spells can’t do anything for this, and he won’t let me anywhere near him.”
Yunho’s heart raced as Hongjoong and Yeosang reached out, their hands resting on his shoulders, trying to placate his panic as he stared at them with frantic eyes. Seonghwa glanced nervously between the three of them before focusing back on Yunho. “Did you inhale any of the pollen?”
“No,” Yunho replied, his frustration boiling over. “What’s happening with Mingi? What’s wrong with him?"
Seonghwa took a deep breath, clearly choosing their words carefully. “Are you familiar with the effects of Sussur flowers at all?”
